Smoky Critical Chance

 Share

Question

On the Wiki, there is a parameter listed for Smoky called "minimal critical chance," and it is described as the probability of firing a critical shot right after another critical shot. This parameter is positive, though very small (less that 1). I was under the impression that Smoky's critical chance dropped to a negative value after firing a critical shot, and it was impossible to fire two consecutive critical shots. But this parameter suggests that it is possible, though very unlikely. Have Smoky's critical shot mechanics been changed, and if so, when?

You're right, Smoky's chance of landing a critical hit right after another is a negative number (can't happen). The numbers on the Wiki were correct until we updated all the turrets' pages due to the Mk update, and it seems the minus signs were lost in translation. We've corrected the Wiki page in question - apologies for the confusion & thanks @ThirdOnion for pointing it out.

That's an issue with the way the statistics are shown on the Wiki. Those numbers for the minimal critical chance are negative values. Multiply what you see for that parameter by -100 to show what the true value is.

Nothing was changed. You still need two normal shots after a critical hit to bring the chance to a positive value. The earliest you can gain a critical hit after another one is critical - normal shot - normal shot - critical.

Hmm a very interesting way of showing a negative number.. damn that can cause a lot of confusion
