Hello, Tankers!

I suppose that many of you are in school, most likely distance learning given the current times. So I decided to make a little school-talk hub for y'all to drop anything you want - it just has to be somewhat school-related. Anything. Questions and answers (on homework, exams, or school in general), funny moments, memes, rants, tunes to study to, and anything and everything in between. Enjoy!

Oh, and by the way, if someone specializes in any subjects, let me know and I'll add you to the list of people to call for when anyone needs help with a certain subject.

I don't like to start off negative, so I'll be nice and positive to start this off. I had a holiday this week, which was awesome given that the past seven weeks of school felt like it was going in slow motion and fast motion at the same time. I got to wake up a whole two hours later, which means a lot more sleep. Also, I had more time to devote to writing articles and proofreading at odd hours that I usually would not be able to do.

However, I had a ton of homework courtesy of my very kind economics teacher, so I didn't end up getting to sleep much earlier

Well, I have been lucky, just nearing the end of a 2 week holiday, whenever I've had a bit of a break from school it's always so hard going back - having to get used to waking up in the mere early hours before it's properly light, but schools not that bad and the one comforting thought throughout all of this is, the rest of the world went through this to, makes me happy to know I'm not the only one who has to suffer school - yes that makes me feel better... don't judge... If anyone has some homework they need help with, I'm proud to say.... I'm sure person_random will give you a hand... Cya

I remember when I was in school I wasn't doing that much homework. Every day I was hoping if a teacher will not go to school or something similar. Well, I kinda hate school. Our school in my country is in bad condition, and this is a big reason why I didn't enjoy it that much. But, the only reason I love school is that I create new friendships. Also, I have to say that the kids that are in school those days are lucky. They don't have school, they wake up late, more free time to do what they want. Anyway, I hope for the best guys. Personally I hate to speak about myself. Well this is what my teacher told my parents "Sir, your child is greatly gifted in Science and Math. Surprises everyone with his knowledge of Quantum Physics and Nuclear Physics." Well speaking of studies, I do quite well in Science and Math(as said by my teacher). And you know...

...and yeah, me with a Computer>dangerous than a pilot with an F-22 Raptor. And the subject I hate is Computer Science. Ironic isn't it!! or maybe more like Ironmanic!!!

You know I actually do not like the Physics and Math I do in my grade, instead like the ones in higher grades!!

It's time to wake up for school in 5 hours, and I still haven't slept. It's been a rough November: uni applications, preparing for finals, and some unforeseen circumstances really roughing it up. But I have hope it will magically disappear... just like a miracle

Cool. Then idk how you will be able to find a job or making money. So better go to school. Well, I despised school too but still, I knew that without  school I couldn't find a job or a way to make money to have an easy life

Wow, I am brutally exhausted. Whenever I try to sleep, I get pretty bad allergies. It's been tough to deal with that in the past few days. However, there are only a few hours before school finally lets us out for a break. No homework for half a week (maybe) and time to recover

Well, I'll tell you my average routine in school

• Reach the school early by 15 minutes.
• Barge into the library and read book(s).
• Silently, sneak and avoid the long, boring assembly[Well get caught doing so sometimes!]
• Sit like a rock, motionless and soundless in all periods.
• Say when any discussion starts, sit like an illiterate all the time and when the situation goes out of hand, come like a rescuer and change the tide of discussion. Once there was a discussion in Chemistry when a young lady in my class proudly declared that Carbon was metal. I literally murdered her(Cause you know that's not what a kid of 8 grade should say). I had to answer for our group in the discussion for the rest of time.
• In the first break after 2 periods, instantly transmit to library.

• Then, the same goes for the 3^rd and 4^th periods. Then comes the main 40 min lunch break.
• Finish my lunch in 1 min 30 sec and instantly transmit to library.

• Then comes the Kung Fu class. Beat the crap out of a few amateurs.(Well and of course teach them how to fight!)
• Then comes the computer subject. When teacher asks you to write a program in php, type it in 30 sec(no one else in my class know touch typing!) and secretly play TO(). [I really do believe me!]
• Then comes the 3^rd break. Instantly transmit to library.
• Then the next two periods have no importance to discuss about.

I spend so much time in library that the default address of mine is not my class, but the library. People think I get perfect score due to my spending so much time in library.

But the cream of joke is that I read only 'Adventures of Tintin' in library. I feel so sorry for people who imitate me to get good scores! The saddest day in my life is Sunday cuz I can't read 'Adventures of Tintin'

Rephrasing it: I am actually going to university. Currently, I am in my 3rd year and if I can wrap up my remaining courses before August 2021 I can get my bachelors degree, after which I can continue studying for a Masters degree. If I hear the word "school" it's often put in the context of primary school or high-school, so no; I don't go to "school" anymore

It's an overall experience in my opinion. You can enjoy learning but hate school. You can enjoy the subject but hate the class. When considering the learning aspect, I've usually liked learning most subjects (except English, most ironically), but it depends on the classmates and teacher as well.

Sometimes, the class is just really awful and you don't have a positive experience from being in the class. For example, we just watched videos for hours in chem class, but in physics, we had fun lectures and free time to do lots of labs. We had more work in physics but most everyone still liked the class better. Other times, it's just the students. One of my previous math classes a few years back was phenomenal; our entire friend group was in the same math class. In my first year of high school, I had a bunch of upperclassmen in my classes and I didn't know them that well. So when we had free time in my first math class, it was a blast, but in my other one, I was bored to death. But hey, that is where I got the inspiration to write an become a reporter, so all's fair in life.

 

While I'm here, why don't I go over a typical year 1 of my high school career?

7:20 a.m. - walking in the bitter wind to go to Spanish class. We usually had fun creating the silliest of stories to learn loads of vocab. I always volunteered to write the stories because I was too shy to act to earn my participation points. Turns out I became one of the best writers in Spanish in that class. Fun times.

8:20 a.m. - Math class. It was really a bore and a chore, so I grinded my classwork and started working on homework whenever some bumbling year 2 didn't ask for tons of extra examples. Also, I started writing. Just took the big stories of yesterday and compiled them in my notebooks.

9:20 a.m - Music class. So the two guys sitting next to me in my section were absolute boneheads who the teacher just happened to love so dearly that he placed them ahead of me, the rightful section leader, but yeah, that's another story. We played a lot of cool songs but then because we only had one capable trumpet in our band, our teacher started assigning us the easiest pieces on Earth. Our trumpet section was just really bad forever lol.

10:20 a.m. - Break aka a 15 minute walk contemplating why human beings tend to group and talk together (*pangs of pre-covid heartache*)

10:35 a.m. - Biology, the worst class of a lifetime. We had this huge clique partying and eating during the whole class (even though you're not supposed to be eating in a laboratory science class). It was even worse since I would actually be paying attention and taking notes while they were clowning around, so when the teacher asked if we could move on, these people kept asking for more time, so we would take forever to finish any slideshow. Oh, and they also asked to copy my homework...
Most of the time, I just ignored everyone and wrote the majority of my big stories there.

11:35 a.m. - P.E., which was just when the teacher picks the athletic people to lead everything and the best people (with the worst sportsmanship) dominate all the activities (or in the case of lacrosse, they were so hopeless that they actually decided to be violent and use their power to knock other people down). Except swimming. They can't swim.

12:35 p.m. - Lunch, also just a 30 minute walk and a time to think closely about the world. Also conclude some stories of the most outrageous people giving out free bruises during my last class.

1:05 p.m - Final class/English. We always had to read some sort of book and do quizzes, not exactly really fun. But at least my teacher was pretty good at helping us with essays and pretty lenient.

2:05 p.m. - Go home

okay either i completely bombed my final for math or my teacher had some mistakes with the checkboxes questions and they don't count correctly... kinda nervous for now. 

I ran some numbers and assuming quizzes are 50 points and tests 100, I need a 69% on the rest of my quizzes with the final being 15% to ensure that I get at least an A-.

Also, I wish I could sneak into the library like iron man here. But our stickler-for-rules-librarian never allowed us in. Even issuing books was a hard task.

However it seems that my new college has a nice library. I hope to see it myself when offline classes begin. Our professors encouraged us to use it when when things get normal. 

Well, I did not tell you that my school's librarian allows me. At first I sneaked into from a big sized window and of course broke my back. Once, the principal caught me doing so and she was soo moved that she gave me a special permission to go and come out of library at I will. So technically the librarian has no right to decline me!

Well I am technically not a nerd and yet I like school. I have 10/10 social skills and not studious (I am in dance club and of course a martial artist).

The reasons why I like school are:-

• Our school library have wonderful stuff.
• I'm the boss in school(well more or less!).
• The PC assigned to me in our computer lab has good GPU (for TO).
• I hate being in home.
• Once in a while you get to watch any movie in our school.

The fourth one is the primary reason why I love school. My sister is more than a bully. Oh! by the way did I tell you I have a sister. My sis is an year older than me but due to some health issues she started her schooling an year late. So we both study in same grade but different classes and from the beginning of high school we study in same class and she sits next to me. She is the fashion icon in our school and I heard a few of my classmates tell that she is gorgeous(Well I never understood, but many say that and say I am lucky to have such a beauty as my sister). My mom is a teacher so she has to leave early nearly every day, my dad is busy to cook, my sis is a horrible cook and it finally goes to me. I have to cook breakfast, pack lunch for my dad,sis, mom and myself not everyday, but say 2-3 days in a week. She(sis) always you know, blackmails me with one incident. Once, two years ago, I made a super-powerful(4KW) laser with which I was trying to set a piece of wood on fire. But, I did not switch it off in the right moment and the laser charred a part of wall. Before I could fix it my sis entered the room to borrow money from me and she saw it.

From then she used that incident to blackmail me. Everything from her laundry to polishing her shoes is being done by me just to prevent my mother from knowing it. You might say that I can just stay aloof but you know, I value people, specifically my family and I love them a lot. But you know sometime she does get onto my nerves.

Finally once in Jan 2020, I came across something about my sis I could use to blackmail her but in vain. In Jan, our Kung-Fu instructor was on a 2-week leave. So my friend and I were in-charge of the marital arts classes. All we did was to practice what we already knew and to train. One fine day we were practicing the iconic 1 inch punch on boards and a few were given the privilege to try on me. The my sister arrived with a boy and she was holding his arm. You know I had a premonition that something bad was going to occur that day.

She came and said " Bro! meet Peter my boyfriend"

And I was-

And I brought my sis aside and asked her

"Hey Sis! you are kidding? right! I am not falling for that."

"YOU ediot! DO YOU THINK I WOULD JOKE IN SUCH A MATTER?"

"Well I thought that a person of your attitude could possibly NEVER fall in or make love."

"ediot! WELL THEN YOU THOUGHT WRONG! YOU MORON"

Then my friend called me aside and said [Well he knows my sister very well]:

"Tony, I guess that dude lost his interest in life quite at a young age! Seriously I do not get what he sees in your sis. It is impossible to satisfy and handle her even when she is not mad"

"Man you said it correct!"

"You guys I can hear you!" "You two are seriously a bothersome bunch of idiots"

Me "Hey! how many times are you going to call me ediot?" "I'll warn you sis, you are making me MAD!"

"So what! I'll tell mom about your stupid experiment!"

"Now then, I have no reason to be afraid of you anymore! Even I'll tell her about your boyfriend business"

"Then you will be making my job easier! cuz I was about to tell her anyway."(Seriously I did not expect that answer!)

Then her boyfriend said

"Man I am good at 1 inch punch too. Can I try"

I said " Hey since you say you are good you can try on me, instead of boards."

Well then he did try on me and I did not even move to say not even one bit. Well partly because I am good at that stuff and because he is an amateur. Then I do not know what got into me and I said "Allow me to show you how it's done" and placed my hand on his left chest and performed the 1 inch punch.

Well that was more or less what happened! Well not that extent but very much close.

He just had to fall on a few girls of same age behind him and he nearly kissed the girl he fell upon. And my sis became jealous, angry and what not?

Thank god she went and began quarreling with her boyfriend and the other girl. I overdid things and I had to sneak out with my pal like a ninja. As soon as I went home, I told my mom about the laser incident and she forgave me. My sis then vowed to get her revenge on me which she will obviously never happen. She curses me all sorts of words in school itself then imagine what she would curse me at home!

This is the main reason why I like school, partly because my sis is a big bully at home and because I cannot beat her up.
