Banner bug- picking up on Salvador's post.

Sorry for creating a new post, but:

 

 

Really? I have had m3 rail for over two weeks now and my banner still shows m2 rail:

 

 

Proof I have m3 rail:

 

 

My present garage: (just to show my xp change since I had m3 rail and also my crystal change. I don't exactly play much: three to four hours a week, trust me. That change, of 7000 xp, is earnt in two weeks at least) for me.

 

 

How often do they have these server restarts? Daily, I thought. Not once in three weeks. Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly mind too much, just..... the banners don't really update. The only thing that updates is the xp and rating: not weapon used.

Servers happen every day. That's why around 9:00 PM ET, all the servers restart and I get kicked out of my battle. :(

Banners take info from a separate database that is not connected to any of the databases in the game. therefore, server restarts do not affect it in any manner. It is hard to say when exactly does it leech fresh info from the servers. A little while ago one of the guys on leprosorium.ru wrote a little tool that fetched info about what weapons players own from their banners. Back then, the servers usually reported to the banner database around 9 AM Moscow time, but it has changed a number of times since. As the hall of fame is undergoing optimizations, it has been virtually disabled for a while, so I assume the banner database might not be getting updated at all in order to avoid any further load. Pincher is unfortunately not competent in this issue, but he doesn't have to be, it's not his job to be up to date on the latest server issues.

 

To sum it up, banner database updates are not connected to server restarts,and there is no ETA on when the banners will update again.

Well. Actually I said not about the game server. If I'm not mistaken, hall of fame stands on some other server and only administrator knows when it will be updated. Next time I should explain more detail I guess :).

it still shows me with black paint and isida... i use freeze and desert paint now and like a million server restarts already happended. why wont it change :(
