It's happening again!. Here in Finland it's getting darker and colder, but we'll still have some summery days. It was a good time anyways.

What's up?

Did you have a good summer? Made new memories or big/small life decisions? Did you pick up something or finish something you had started?

How about now? Getting back to studies, work?

Or maybe you live in the southern hemispere or don't really live by the seasons. Whatever it is, i'd love to hear.

Well, me personally, I did have a good summer. I reconciled my relationship with my best friend, so that's pretty good. Not that we were ever drifting away or anything like that, we just didn't interact much during the pandemic so its nice to finally get something going again.

Not really, but I did make big/small life decisions before summer.

Not really.

I did pick up interest in this game called War Robots though.

I used to like summer because of my birthday and no more school, but now that I've graduated from high school and I now live in a hot and humid area of the United States, that season has really grown off of me.

On the other hand, I've started to like fall and winter more than I used to. It's kinda hard to say exactly why.

I really can't take humidity, it's so suffocating.  Iv'e felt it first hand a few times vacationing off to the equator, the heat just got to me in a different way. It's similar to when you've go to a really dry sauna; you can take way more heat and just sweat it off, meanwhile a humid and hot sauna will just boil you.

I'm also currently digging the fall we're getting, only had a few days of freezing rain so far and i hope it stays that way.

Definitely Winter.

One of my favorite moods is snuggled up in bed, a book in my hands, a hot cup of coffee nearby, and the sound of raindrops lightly tapping my window outside.

Oh yeah, I totally know what you're talking about. I've been on vacation to places with a drier, more desert-like climate, and the heat is definitely more manageable over there. It's still hot, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely easier to escape and the shade actually feels useful.

So far this year, fall has been almost nonexistent and it only feels like a slightly cooler summer. But then again, it's only mid-September so there's plenty of time for it to get colder. As for rain, the past month or so has had a lot of it, definitely more than average. I can't complain at all, I like the rain and how it makes everything cooler outside, and the sound of the rain (while I'm inside of course) is kinda calming.

Yea, being inside on a rainy day is definetly a mood. However the freezing rain and wet, immediately melting snow that we tend to get in fall/early winter here doesn't really do it for me. Hopefully this year the early snow doesn't come at all or even better yet, comes to stay. My favourite staying-inside vibe is definetly a dark, calm and snowy evening with some calm seasonal music and a therapeutic activity like a jigsaw, a book or baking.

Hardcore agreement there. I completely forgot about calm snowy nights because, well, we don't really get much snow here.?

I'd be so bold as to add the extra serenity from having a crackling fire in a nearby fireplace sending warmth all throughout the room. Oh, and a hot cup of whatever soothes your soul to go with. ?
