Jammer Tweak

The latest update includes jammer status effect disabling drones for the entire duration of the effect. And it has clearly been given that this will affect high performance drones such as booster, defender or trickster. However, the jammer effect doesn't just disable the functioning of the drones entirely, it removes the effect provided by the drone i.e. extra damage provided by booster isn't retained when the effect runs out. This results in loss of supplies as the jammer status effect is experienced by players quite frequently during a battle. 

My suggestion is:
Boosts provided by drones should be retained when the jammer status effect wears off. 
Since boosted armor/damage/speed provided by drones has the same duration of normal boost, the time left for the boost which is retained will be the same as the duration left of the normal supply currently being used.

If there's anyone who hasn't understood this idea, allow me to elaborate it. So let's suppose you are using a drone like Trickster. Once you've used your Speed Boost, you get the additional boost(that's what Trickster does, gives you extra speed boost). Now if Jammer is inflicted on you, your extra speed boost(drone's feature) ceases to exist while the regular speed boost(the one due to supply) is active. Even after the duration of Jammer is over, you'll have only the regular speed boost but not the extra speed boost(unless your supply duration ends and you use it again or you pick up a drop box).

So the suggestion made here, is to retain the additional boosts provided by the drones, after the duration of Jammer is over.

But how exactly is the part I couldn't understand.

Kindly understand that moderators have real life obligations to deal with. Patience is expected. Also, we couldn't understand a part of your idea, which was why we asked for you to elaborate it(those posts have been removed) and didn't approve the idea.

Nevertheless, kindly answer my above question.

For the next 5 seconds, the Boosted Double Armor gets downgraded into a normal Double Armor as the Defender Drone is inactive.

Once Jammer wears off after 5 seconds, the Double Armor turns back into a Boosted Double Armor from the Defender Drone's effects going back online. And you have 15 seconds left of this Boosted Armor effect before the Double Armor itself expires.

 

 

Basically, @It_Aint_Too_Late's idea would simply have Jammer "pause" the supply boosting effects of the Defender, Booster, Trickster, Crisis, and Camper Drones, but once Jammer wears off, the supply that the drone has an affect on would go back to being boosted by the drone, rather than just lost the boost permanently due to Jammer.

This probably is just a bug, because it clearly says jammer 'temporarily' disables drone effects but they forgot about the peculiarity of booster, defender and trickster.

Ahh, so basically you mean if I use Booster and I got the Jammer status effect inflicted on me, for the specific duration, my drone gets disabled, but what you are suggesting is to bring back the supply boost after the status wears off?

I think he means change it like AP works. It temporarily blocks your armor, not disable it fully (like EMP does with supplies).

Yes. Like @The_Voltage said, it should work just like AP. The boosted armor supply will be there but won't function during the AP effect. And when the effect wears off, boosted armor functions again.

This is a good and sensible idea - I agree with others that it should always have worked this way. Too unfair to certain drones with the current system, and it works awkwardly in that if you get jammed just when you have recently activated certain drones (for instance recently applied armor with Defender) it is much more powerful, than if it happens at the end. Not the case with other status effects.
