how to press more than 3 keys for any keyboard

Recommended Posts

some times It'll be hard to play Tanki online without pressing more than 3 keys and today i wanted to show you guys how to press 3 keys and more on old/normal or non mechanical keyboards.

the keyboard ghosting is focused in some keys only, as well as which keys are ghosted and which ones not in your keyboard.

It means that you will also be able to find the most suitable keys to change with. also i have tested this method and it worked on my old Microsoft keyboard

so let's begin;

first of all go to settings

then go to CONTROL and change the following from arrow keys to (J to turn left, L to turn right, I to move forward, K to move backwards)

and as @nikunj04 said in the comments, you can choose any key and it's not necessary to choose the ones i mention above;

here is a website form Microsoft to check the ghosting keys

This idea wasn't mine so i reposted it with a little extra instructions to make it easier to other players who didn't understand the old post:

You can choose any Keys you all like, all in all it depends on your playing style, my friend here  has provided an example of the sort to help the players understand better and deal with this issue.

Because for changing key-set also, you first have to see whether the new keys with which you are about to play aren't ghosting again. If yes, then that keys must not be used.

There are many websites on the Internet to help you find the correct keys which do not ghost on your current system. With the help of that, you can set your playing keys accordingly.

Sure of course you can choose other keys too, in my opinion the ones in the topic were the most comfort for me, i'll post your comment with a link for a site of ghosting keys :D

Yeah, I remember using IJKL when I had key ghosting on a previous laptop. But then I got a new one where the arrow keys work fine.
Also I'm a mouse-control-hover-hull pleb now anyway, so...

I think your combo is too close to the left and near to WASD letters, for me I use OKL: combo, which is somehow considered to the right like the arrows. Especially when I'm lying (not sitting) where your combo is far from my right hand. Your combo is near to the left for the right hand

He is talking about the "I,J,K,L" keys which are presented at the right of the keyboard.

Look, his combination is nearer to the left than the right arrows. Which make me uncomfortable when I stretch my right hand to this far. Especially while I'm usually not sitting the right sit or the healthy sit for PC. So it's hard for me.  (I'm using laptop btw)

Sorry if my discussion with you have bothered you, I wont quote you again.

Oh not that, don't worry, it's just that the more we can keep this topic official with posts strictly related to the title, the better.

Again guys, discussing how it went off-topic still comes under "Off-topic" discussion ?
I recommend posting here, only if you have something valuable to share with respect to the current topic, else you can discuss the rest in PMs ^^
