Best Player Of All Time

i haven't really seen something about this anywhere and this is probably a silly question but is there any player in Tanki who has been widely regarded as the greatest of all time?

I remember reading an interview where PARD (one of the best eSports players of all time said) was asked "who's the best player in the game in your opinion". His reply was something along the line of "Nobody can be regarded as the best because the game has so many aspects, one can be the best defender but at the same time be the worst attacker"

For sure, it definitely varies depending on what you value. I don't keep up with a lot of esports so it's hard for me to pick one in that realm, but I do watch Tanki Youtubers fairly regularly. Narrowing the pool down to that group, my opinion on the best player of all time has got to be Ghost Animators, followed closely by Jumper if you're looking at MM specifically.

It's very hard or close to be impossible to determine who is most skilled. There is no obvious criteria to rely on for measuring the skills.  There are player who are skilled in XP/BP. There are players who are skilled in Freeze. There are players who are skilled in 1v1 fights. There are skilled players in parkouring (but obviously we are meaning here only the fights).

For me if I want to put a criteria for the most skilled player concept.. The one who can play in all conditions. Who is very good in defense - attacking - in playing all of the game modes - in playing with every turret and hull - in teamwork - in 1vs1 - in all of the maps - who can choose the right equipment. The one who can do the best , if he have weaker equipment - balanced equipment - stronger equipment, in all conditions not just the perfect conditions where everyone is equal.

So it seems for me it's hard to determine the best player. If we want we have to test him in more than 10 battles.  Though for the vast majority of players, they see a one 1v1 fight can determine everything which is definitely no.

I don't think there can be a best player of all time because of different aspects such as updates, meta, time period. Maybe if we categorize it to specifics of the game  like who's the best XP player of all time/Best BP player of all time. It depends on the criteria you're using.

But, Spy has moved this topic to "Game Discussion" and hence here's what I think:

I agree with Kydapoot when it comes to YouTubers... Ghost Animators is indeed a great player.

For eSports... I don't know lol. I have seen some mind-blowing matches but apparently the players were not even at the ultra pro Max level — so top eSports players must be really good... I've heard Spy's name a lot in XP/BP though, and I've seen him play a bit. So probably Spy in the Railgun-related formats, I guess?

In MM, I've seen a few exceptionally good players, and I conveniently forgot their nicknames... To be fair, their names were either borderline gibberish, or Russian... Difficult to remember such names. 

In Parkour, it's extremely difficult to pinpoint a single "best player of all time". And no, I am not talking about parkour fighting

Oh, almost forgot: the best mobile player (someone who plays on the TO Mobile app) of all time, in my opinion, is TheCongoSpider. I have seen him play with Magnum with remarkable skill back when the controls were all crazy and there was no autoshooting or projectile trajectory display...

True I saw him in many battles, and he's always on-top, and become my hunt (to revenge- but have never succeed)

Very difficult question to answer.

As others have said, there are a lot of parameters to take into consideration, not least the huge array of augments, drones, etc that are available to players in the current set up.

1-The smart player. Takes his time and gains the advantage by out thinking the enemy.

2-The pure all out attacking player who goes for the flag and always caps at least twice in any battle.

3-The pure defender who is a nightmare for any attacker.

4-The support player who is unselfish and always takes the hit for the attacking players.

5-The healers who restore HP to team mates and are good enough to actually make a difference, especially when attacking.

If this question was asked 4/5 years ago it would still be a tough call, but now it is next to impossible, because of the direction TO has taken with its augment, infested, cash wins mentality.

I'd prefer answers with players who have youtube vids of course so I can learn

I got nothing to say about eSports.

As for MM, I see [W-O-T], [Dmsr], and [Date] to be pretty good MM Clans.

I’m part of [E.Y.F] and I’d say we make a pretty good team as well assuming Group MM doesn’t F us over.
 

@DaringDeer streams very often for [W-O-T] if you want to check him out.

 

What our Clans do in common is to communicate and maybe play together on VC via Discord or Skype, or etc.

If you aren’t looking for just OP Augments, or buying toget better, I recommend joining up some strong active Clans, not the ones that are inactive or don’t play together.

I don't know about who's the best but  i can tell you who is pure trash under "skilled people" blanket.

Now here are my feats. I see myself as above average.

1. In Smoky/Wasp event with no supplies/augments i achieved 1st place 3 DAYS IN A ROW (not counting battles where i joined and the battle already started 5+ minutes ago). And no i didn't play  3 battles. i earned 650k+ XP in that weekend from that event alone. Let me tell you i never played with Wasp/ Smoky in my life except for special events. (just look up my profile)

2. I was able to stop 4 group filled with buyers ALONE. Yeah i was using above average conbo but im basically in a 4v1...

3. Last weekend i stopped "Squash" match just because i used Healing Shaft. It was Berlin map so 16v16? When i joined my team were losing 6-0 and only 5 minutes passed. Enemy team had THREE YES THREE Helios and EMP freezers all that. My teammates would not be near a flag because they would get spam killed instantly. I joined and started healing everyone and killing off enemies slowly but surely me and my team took back our own base and our base became defensive wall enemies even now with 50% shaft prots could not capture ONE flag in 10ish minutes. We still lost 6-0 because... 3 Helios. do i need to say something?
4. I alone can start carrying my team no matter what conbo i used. it happened MANY times. And i DO NOT use EMP or AP. Adrenaline is my go to.

5. I earn 1000-1600 score every battle no matter what i use. Rico minus field, healing shaft, vampire isida, adrenaline freeze etc.
