Hi guys

This propably comes a bit out of the blue. I know I'm not exactly well known or anything, but I've been in and out of the game for almost 10 years now and have seen most of my friends and familiar names here come and go.

I'm not gonna make a long list of reasons for leaving, I'd just say my enjoyment of the game has declined over the years and after playing quite alot during the holidays I've realized the game simply isn't for me anymore.

When I've been offline for a year or 2 before, I've still stuck around on the forum, but this place has quieted down a lot and I've lost interest in the ingame topics. I don't really it engaging enough anymore.

So I'm making this post, mainly as a commitment to fill the hours and thoughts I've been putting into this game with something more meaningful to me.

I feel it's fitting to end with a final music post, since that's what I've been doing here for most of my stay :)

Agreed with your points. I joined the game in mid 2018, had an account as high of a rank as I believe brigidier. Experienced the ODs release, and wasn't a fan of it. Left two months later because I had college classes and just wanted a simple break from tanki.

I returned almost 2 years later in mid 2021 and found out two devastating news:

1) the game has completely changed since the last time I played. Happened after number 2.

And 

2) I forgot the nickname to my original account, and since I didn't have it linked to an email, I had to start over on a new account. Then again, the name I gave my original wasn't very memorable at all.

So yeah if you were wondering, this is my second account. I still didn't play much because I was still in college at the time.

It wasn't until around mid September that I played regularly, only ended up quitting one month later because it was as enjoyable for me as it was in 2018-2019. And the ODs earlier mentioned along with drones, and especially augments, made it pretty much impossible to enjoy this game.

Many players were vouching for quality of life changes whether on social media, in game, or even on the forum, all of which were shut down. I quickly got the memo that tanki simply doesn't care about the players. I'm just here to help others to see the other side that tanki tries to hide.

 

Anyway, enough of my back story. I wish you good luck with your future endeavors.

Hey, I quit playing the game too.  It's just gotten sooo, well, everybody knows already, no use beating a dead horse.

But, I just started using the Music topic of the forum again this Christmas....and I need you there too.   You always post such good stuff and take the time to listen to the posts I make...and you comment...and you "like" (or not).   You are such great support for the music thread.

Who knows how long Tanki is going to remain viable.  If they go belly up this year the forum will most likely die along with the game since I doubt Tanki will wish to pay out of pocket to keep it running.  I'd like to figure out a way to set up another forum for the Off Topic crowd if this forum does croak.  And even if I can't manage to supply us with a back up venue, we still have some time to delve into each other's musical tastes and finds.  That has got to be valuable...I know for sure it would be for me...;wha-da-ya-say?

Please don't leave the forum...pretty please?
