What Thing In Tanki Still Give You A Bit Nostalgia

For me I was checking out  my paints, the paints valour and breeze, equipping them game me a flashback of the feelings when I was a WO5, felt nice.

Also a while back an isida was healing a group of my teammates and I suddenly got a flashback to years back of isidas healing teammates and me. So good feeling.

All the blue and common paints. In my opinion, they should be the only paints ?
Also, maps in PRO battle format that have been left in the dust since the MM update (Monte Carlo, Arena, Atra, Fort Knox, Farm, Garder, Magadan, Oppositon, Esplanade, Subway, Deck-9... i could go on for hours... I wish they would bring Monte Carlo and Esplanade into MM

I remember my brothers playing Deck-9 while I watched when I was small. A fun map.

My favorite nostalgic thing of all: When TO had over 100,000 + players online. Nowadays it feels like 2k-7k players.

DM Mode **before 2020**:  A very fun mode where it was every tank for themselves. It was a very nice break from the team-based modes. It allowed for various playstyles to shine no matter what. You could be running and burning down tanks with firebird/wasp or perched somewhere with shaft/mammoth being a deadeye. You seriously could use anything and still play well using skills and a little bit of luck. Goldboxes in this mode were CRAZY fun. Oddly enough, it was a fair mode since everyone was on their own.

Assault game mode when it was first introduced during Christmas time:
- BOTH teams each had a flags and a point. Both teams had to simultaneously protect their point and keep opponents from capturing while also taking the flags at their base and attempting to capture it at the opponent's point. This version of assault was so unique and fun. There was so much more action and craziness(the good kind). You had both defenders and attackers. Everyone had a role and surprisingly a lot of teamwork was involved.

Miscellaneous/Random:
- Madness Map when it has a bottom floor area. Playing in this map was literal "madness" but so much fun.
- When paints had meaning and were used for protections.
- This is gonna be weird but when Brest map had a back entrance on both maps. It made performing sneak attacks much more fun and gave you more options.
- When goldbox actually had value/meaning
- When the Vlog would show the goldbox catcher of the week.
- M1,M2,M3 Skins - Seeing your progress with your tank/hulls changing as you played, ranked, saved, and purchased during sales felt so good.
- The various servers such as RU 1 and EN 1 and so on.
-  When balance Between F2P and buyers made sense. F2P players were not SUPER weak against super buyers as they are now.

but there’s just something different… some sort of change… something which just doesn’t make it the same as before… something… with starts with a “H” and ends with a “5”

I thought a lot about it, but I don't think that will be much feasible, the current version of the game isn't what it was used to be back when Esplanade was playable as a normal map. We got crisis, many drones performing different functions, Juggernaut and many mining drones which have the potential to mine the whole map, all in all leading to numerous modes in it not playable at all.

The same would happen with Noise I fear, hence devs aren't adding it back.

To tell you the truth, sometimes playing Berlin ctf is really nostalgic for me, cuz I remember my bros back in the days playing PRO Berlin, and capping flags were easy with teamwork and really satisfying. Plus no drones then, so everyone is equal. Now, I ragequit most times. Sad ?

Good.  It was a terribly unbalanced map well before the latest stuff was added.

Nails went in the coffin when striker and Magnum were introduced.

Magnum is understandable and in real is horribly annoying and the 1st reason to not play. But striker?  This haven't contributed by any, to make the map worse!

Play bottom while there's a few strikers up above.

Splash damage is a problem for the lower team.  Thunder was one of the only turrets that could do indirect damage.  And Ricco could bounce shots below for damage as well.

Then came Striker - try to advance up a blocked ramp - you are the perfect stationary target for the lock-on. 

The reverse doe not work for bottom team.  Their ability to splash damage the upper team pales in comparison.
