Toxicity in Battle

One thing I have experienced a lot lately is a lot of players who trash talk and use a lot of profanity. I think there should be a nice and simple way to report them without having the inconvenience of taking a screen shot, having a third party process it, and sending it to the Russian forum just to have it denied for something minor. If you speak with the chat moderators, they just tell you to hide their messages and the toxic player gets away without any chance of being punished. This can get very frustrating to deal with as I have experienced this. Please feel free to share your thoughts or suggest a solution to the issue.

I have a suggestion and I asked about on Questions to the Developers.

There should be a drop-down menu when a player chooses the vote option that gives you reasons to report the player. I mention that chat abuse should be one of the reasons. I also mentioned that if a player is reported for chat abuse, their name shows up in red (or any color that isn't black) and a chat moderators joins the battle rather than a battle moderators. The difference in color means what a player was voted for. Black was for battle violators such as hackers and saboteurs so moderators should be able distinguish between a chat violator and battle violator and I think red is the best color to correspond to a chat violator. Chat moderators should look for red names and battle moderators continue to look for black names. Battle moderators deal with battle violations and chat moderators deal with chat violations.

I like this idea! The logic behind it is simple and I think an addition the developers could easily implement in the game.

Although I usually just laugh at such demonstrations of intelligence, I guess you have a point.

It is sometimes, but I have been told to commit suicide before. I think that crosses the line and this player didn't get banned.

I also love the idea. I remember that question.

I'm probably alone in this sentiment, but I love getting and throwing back insults. The banter is half the fun of this game. *Cracks open Monster Ultra* Back in the day we used to enjoy greifing and throwing crap at each other all the time in online games. You kids...

Sometimes I get annoyed by some player, I switch to Shaft and start sniping him, don't care about the mode objective, and in the second I see him start insulting me in chat, I get satisfied and the hate go, because I just finished my mission.

The chat team has been requesting devs to implement this for a while now, and it is technically planned, but they didn't get around to implementing it yet. The reason reports with screenshots are a bad idea is because such evidence cannot be fully trusted, as some people edit the screenshots to fake the text, or they just take the screenshot out of context, in order to frame someone they dislike.

Indeed we just need a simple system where a player can choose to either blacklist another player, or report them with a button and have the chat logs automatically saved for moderators to review.

I believe they claimed that they were planning to add it simply to get players off their backs a little, meaning in reality they wont do it.

I remember back in 2016, i was playing an island game, and someone in my team pushing me off causing me self destruction (sabotage) then i told him why did he have done that and he insulted me, i insulted him back after, and what he did he wrote normal things so the bad words he wrote could go away and when the part of him insulting me was out of the screen, he took the screen shot and reported me. The moderator gave me a one week ban and i had no way to prove them that they was wrong, so the screenshot method can clearly be abused by either a screen edit or a screen took when the person insulted back like you mentioned(out of context).

Yeah, reporting someone in this game is such a hassle for one method and the other where 80% of the time, the mods never show up that I would either suck it up and deal with it or simply leave.

Don't you think this it's because the game itself became a trash? Devs caring only for brining money at the expense of regular players. So all that frustration has to go somewhere.

Would that bring any money? No? Here is your answer. BTW, currently in MM the chat is rarely used if at all compared to Tanki early ears. Occasional GG, LOL, xD and that' pretty much it.

You're not wrong. To put it more delicately, developers only have a limited number of resources that they can allocate to various features and tasks, so it can be difficult to create a feature that only improves quality of life without directly generating revenue.

We also need a version of this for the various chat channels. Some kid fake reported me for hacking on 5 accounts just because I flipped him with twins and mammoth in parkour. He flipped me on my Bowser_Jr account when I was using lightweight construction for viking and duplex for hammer mainly doing parkour stunts. I switched to Bowser448 to flip him until he stopped. Flipped him twice in under a minute then he left to game reports to fake report me for hacking on 5 accounts and then kept taunting me. I have twins mk8 and mammoth mk7-9 which can flip players pretty well.

They always say 'planned' but doesn't implement it for the next 3 years. Its just a bone threw to the dogs to keep the peice IMO they should do something ASAP
