Are you left handed or right handed? Please vote in the poll!

Here we can discuss everything related to right or left handed stuff, like how you guys adapt to the hand, and how flexible you are with your other hand.

Have fun, and please don't insult anyone lol.

This is interesting

I’m right handed

but since two months ago, I have been practicing left hand as well.

and after practicing an hour a day for these past two months, I’m able in both hands left and right equally well.

.

Lmao just my little joke. I m no where near fluent in writing with my left hand.. yet

im still practicing when I’m free about 15 min once or twice a day in a separate book. Not much improvement. But then, I’m sure it would take at least a year or even more.

why am I doing this? Because I’m a bit weird and I think being able to write with both hands could be resourceful at times, and a good point in character (probably)

I've tried writing with my right hand myself. Some obvious advantages are, being right handed, while writing with a pencil, the pencil marks didn't leave a pencil mark, or alteast not usually. After writing a long essay with pencil, the sides of my palm are dark with pencil marks.

I think it’s called being Ambidextrous, when you can use both as well.

I don´t think that´s what he meant. It is like for example you write with your left, but play tennis with your right (but cannnot do it vice versa).

I'm right handed, and honestly I didn't understand the poll (both). Does that means you can write with either hand, at least with a reasonable font?

Sometimes I open ms paint and just challenge myself to write a flipped word, then flipping the picture to see the result. Quite different

"Both" means that you can use both right and left hands equally well. That includes most everyday activities like writing, picking up objects, playing, etc.

I indicated specifically about writing because it's the hardest thing and it's the most thing where the differences between the two hands appear the most.  For other things for me, both hands I can do most tasks almostly the same.

Found this:

Spoiler

Cross-dominance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

*Not to be confused with Ambidexterity.

Cross-dominance, also known as mixed-handedness, hand confusion, or mixed dominance, is a motor skill manifestation in which a person favors one hand for some tasks and the other hand for others, or a hand and the contralateral leg. For example, a cross-dominant person might write with the right hand and do everything else with the left one, or manage and kick a ball preferentially with the left leg.

Yes it is. It's useful when you're in a tight spot and you want to write more comfortably. For example in a class if you have those bench like seats and you're on the right side you can write with your right hand and if you're on the left hand you can write with your left hand.

I am personally left handed ? it's a bit awkward using scissors for me, cuz holding it with my left hand ain't the best.

I'm also left handed. I've been using scissors since I was like 3 years old so I'm use to it. The worst thing about being left handed for me is writing with pens on smooth surfaces and on whiteboards. Because when you're writing on a whiteboard from left to write your hand touches the letters which make them get erased or smudged ? As for sports I use mainly my left hand or my left handed side. Like in cricket i'm a left handed batsman and bowler, badminton left handed racket holder so yeah in sports I have a bit of an advantage vs other players cuz most of the time left is better.

Same bruh. Some cases i use right hand more comfortably, and some left. I remember being surprised when I noticed that I was using my right hand sometimes lol

I'm born left-handed as well. I somehow always fail at cutting paper, plastic and such materials with my left hand but when I hold the scissors in my right hand, perform the same action, it magically cuts the material!

Many tools like scissors are often optimized for right hand use, so that might be it also.

Same! But it is still awkward.
