so much saltiness.... the chances of winning are low so you're expected to lose.

 

Also just know that fewer alts in the fund means fewer total winners. Your chances of winning doesnt go down with more alts...

 

The good thing is that the prizes in the fund itself are well worth the lowest entry fee (unlike in some of the previous funds). So there's really nothing to be sad about even if you didnt win the raffle.

I won on 2 of my 6 accounts entered.  This is the first time I ever won in Tanki Fund.

You forgot to double count the people who won more than once (due to multiple entries). The number checks out anyways

Kind of unfair to be able to win it more than once. Lazy devs didn't think of that and just copied a open source randomizer from github

You wouldn't be crying if those some accounts were necessary help to reach all prizes in the fund like in the past. Also as everyone has said more accounts do not reduce your odds. I entered with 2 accs, got nothing, but many other prizes are on the way which are well worth it.

That was me and I said 8 out of 63 accounts. As stated by others, it does not alter your's or anyone else's chances of winning. You have a 12.5% chance of winning. It does not matter if 200 accounts (25 winners) or 2 million accounts (250,000 winners) are in the draw - your chances remain the same, which is 12.5% or 1 in 8. This is probability 101.

8000 tankoins = 1 winner, cheapest bundle = 1000 tankoins

Ideal case scenario: 8 unique players buy this bundle, they each have an equal probability of 12.5% (1/8) to win.

 

Scenario where some players use alt accounts:

3 unique players (ABC) & 1 player joins with 3 accounts (DDD) & 1 player joins with 2 accounts (EE):

Now the pool of players consists of: ABCDDDEE

prob(A wins) = prob(B wins) = prob(C wins) = 12.5% (1/8)

prob(D wins) = 3/8 = 37.5%

prob(E wins) = 2/8 = 25%

 

so.. players with single accounts are indeed penalised

Each account has paid the entry and each account has the same chance of winning. You are not thinking logically. your account has the same chance of winning as any other account. 

I paid 62,370 tankoins for entry for 63 accounts and the return was 57,600 tankoins. I still lost big overall.

each of his account has the same chance of winning, as yours has. each account is each participant, of course he can win multiple times, because he contributed to the fund 63 times more than you did.

Nothing is stopping you creating more accounts for yourself except your own inertia.

The flawed logic you are using would suggest that people who buy two lottery tickets have an unfair advantage over those who buy one. And that is just plain silly.

I think it is fair to say your math teacher has committed a crime.
