You mean you get disappointed when you get a paint because you would've preferred something else like an augment? For me, augments and gear items are more important to me than simple cosmetics (excl. skins). It is too bad that paints lost their value years ago, both due to the enormous number of them and their insignificance in comparison to skins.

However, there are some paints I still like alot. I usually go with Steak and Kapuljat because of the theme of this account. I recently got the Feathers paint, which I wanted to have for years. A paint I would still really like is Badger Badger because of its colour palette and the backstory of the paint

I don't like many of the paints and I think a lot of augments aren't good and I think some skins are horrible too (on top of them being for turrets and hulls I am never going to use), so there's a lottery aspect to epic / legendary / exotic containers and a lot of disappointment, but also elation when you get something you do want

My favorite paint is First Kiss, but none of my main accounts have got it yet

There's two different scenarios that I think are positive if the paints are animated:

 

1) I get a nice looking paint.

2) The paint might not look so great, however at least I still have the possibility of pulling something from this category.

I don't know exactly how many paints I have. I would estimate at least 60. I have been playing since 2019 and I am now legend 7. I only have a few legendary augments and roughly half of the others. Paints often are annoying to get as I would prefer an augment. The paints are also extremely expensive and half are not even cool.

 

On a sort of related note, ultra containers are likely rigged and the exotic chance is not one percent. They are also rigged so that legendary drops have an extremely high chance of dropping a paint over 100k or an augment. I seriously never find myself getting paints from the rare and epic categories from ultra containers.

You must have seen <1%,  not 1%. Common and Exotic were ~0.5%. 

 

Exotics currently still show signs of being 0.5% after commons were removed. No your Ultra Containers are not rigged. Your chances of getting something very good is just low.

Makes you wonder when your two legend accounts have never gotten it once and you are boycotting the game. Maybe they aren't rigged for you.

I know the feeling very well. I know containers are rigged because I have gotten 5 legendary drops over 5 years. Most of which have been paints. 1%. I'd say not!
