Ufff, it's strange to think that Brutus can help improve skills and grow, but yes, although it may seem useless and frustrating the first few games, it's undoubtedly one of the main ways to improve as a player. There are some drones that make battles much easier (that's the idea of using drones xd) but you can lose skills if you face good players along the way
And yes, camper drone certainly doesn't help that much on the vast majority of maps and game modes, especially at Legend ranks. If Camper's effects are maintained until your tank loses 25% of health, for example, it could be a good drone

You never played with camper or you are a bad player.

Camper speed up cooldown for RK. 

Camper is the best damage increase drone. Better than crisis and a lot better than booster. 

I have crisis and camper maxed and i can tell crisis only works if i use over 150 of each supply per battle. (MINIMUM not average)

With camper i use maybe 15-20.

This is the reason they remove camper. To make you spend lots of suplayes.

Please do not remove Camper, Miner, that OD reload faster, Supplier, and Sprinter drones. Camper is a v good drone for F2P players, as it doesn't consume additional boosted damage and armor, unlike Crisis, Booster, and Defender. It only consumes Repair Kits slightly more. Sprinter is such a fun drone to use. OD reload faster drone is v useful in events when you don't have much time to complete missions. and Supplier drone is also v good if you're trying to get XP v fast, mostly missions.

Besides, I only found drones are removed on Monday while I spent 60k to upgrade camper which I could've used elsewhere.

I have a feeling that this is simply a very elaborate April Fools Day joke as Fools Day is less than a month away. I believe they will continue to post "updates" every week until Fools Day celebrations and then call it off as a joke. Developers have always felt very self-conscious and proud of their achievements and contributions to new items in the game, and as such they have always been very quick to reject suggestions on the forum that suggest to remove anything. I highly doubt that they would just remove something and not care about it, I just don't think that they are that dumb.

While criss is lower in damagae, but you can chaim dd after dd, and you can fight without worry splash damage when you camp. 

So as continue damage support, criss still better in term damage output through battle, 

Shaft AP w Ares w Criss in base can continue output huge damage into frontline

As a partial token of apologize they should lower batteries costs to like 150 crys and that for every drone only 1 supply is used. That would be good; i would then

strongly consider even using hyperion or crisis. I honestly never used camper, since I don't like to camp much. 

So tomorrow the new vlog will let us know what is going on and hopefully it will be fair compensation.

Trooper + Sprinter + Assault (in its old form) would make a decent hull augment. 

Miners ability to save mines can go to the Saboteur. 

{Lifeguard + little immunity} and {Blaster} good as augments too (work once per respaun). Camper too.

Guys stop the sheer stupidity of saying that drones' abilities should be combined. Don't you realise how ridiculously OP these things will be???

You can take supplyes from drop zone or respown .

But in no way camper is useless. Camper has its place in the game as one of the best drone. And is not only for campers but for hunters/support also. 

Camper is good also to combat trickster  drone.  Whithout camper trickster players will dominate again all battles.
