Upgrade Mk5-10 to Mk6

I'd been playing tanki online a long time ago and I've recently started playing the game again and managed to rank up to the rank Major General, which means I'm now able to get Mk6 hornet and viking. I upgraded the two hulls to Mk5-10 before ranking up. Now it says that I have to pay an extra 97'000 crystals to upgrade to Mk6. Is that a bug or is there a way to upgrade the hulls without having to pay that much for it considering that it does not change anything about the power of the hulls? Or are the developers just wanting to scam me?

There has been an update which removes that ability to upgrade for free to next modification when you already micro-upgraded it to maximum level.

  • Upgrades happen instantly now, no more need to wait or speed them up.
  • The 100% discount on the next modification of equipment if the previous modification is fully upgraded, has been removed. 
  • Added an option to use Tankoins to upgrade when a player does not have enough crystals.
  • Added a pop-up window to confirm before upgrades. 
  • The prices of upgrading Mk1-Mk6 modifications are the same for all turrets and hulls now.
  • (Note) We have not changed the prices of upgrades.

Ya.... thats the case as told by Polski_Gracz_2......... its sucks you know, coming back to Tanki and knowing its got worse

That really sucks, I've wasted so many crystals. Who wants such a terrible update? Really sad to see tanki now, it was such a fun game. Whatever, thanks for your help

I recommend for mk1-mk6 to only buy 5 upgrades on each modification. After that, focus your crystals on brutus, a desired second drone, protection modules if you have any, or diversifying your garage.
