What should be scrapped from TO

As every player knows TO has become worse (from a players perspective) as more and more updates flood the game.

The balance of the game has never been so low because of a multitude of updates that have crippled the game.

Which of these should be scrapped altogether and NEVER return in any guise at all.

If players can think of anything else I will include them asap.

Augments - Good way to keep the game fresh even if on paper they're just very small addition. The problem is that most of them are just flat out powercreeping X augment/turret instead of changing something while keeping almost the same if not the same level of power like ALTERATIONS. Augments would be a 10/10 if the power of the "heavy artillery" augments was as powerful as mid level Legendary and Legendaries being as good as Epic tier or even Garage augments. 

 

Trashcan - Literally no excuses. Horrible. Once again introducing some weird power creep (they're better than tracked hulls IN EVERY WAY for some reason?????) Unless you change the mechanics of these hulls COMPLETELY to the point where you might as well say its a different thing I honestly see 0 ways of "fixing" this problem.

 

Overdrives - Completely fine. Maybe like 10% nerf and its good. That is if other complimentary items like augments and... trashcans. are kept in check.

 

Auto Aim - Should just be Mobile exclusive optional feature. It helps new mobile only players so cool ig.

 

Bots - completely undeeded. I'd rather have my waiting times trippled than play with a single bot. Absolutely no need for them. If you know you can't make them at least on the level of a BAD REAL PLAYER then why the hell are you adding them?

 

Changing time limit - a double edged sword. It helps from tryhards going crazy with changes every 5 seconds just to counter a single person while at the same time potentially locking you out of changing just because you changed from Engineer Hunter to EMP Hunter and now theres overpowered sweat on the enemy team. I think its fine as it is.

 

MM - Big belly laugh. Battle list worked the same as MM just with less steps.

I would rather remove annoying dead tanks than augments (even though those dudes are annoying too).

Dead tanks taking too long to despawn, MM maps not rotating, Magnum's shot projection guide, Freezing effect turning off double damage, disabling "paints" shortcut from garage main menu, armadillo, nuclear energy, overdrives for non-juggernaut players in team juggernaut mode, rubies, bot matches, lifeguard, blaster, and miner becoming augments, assault mode, events and game modes that discourage objective play

Anyways they gotta change it back when each category in the garage (augments, drones, etc) had their own individual change cooldown instead of cooling down the entire garage for 1 equipment change.

Bots in high ranks too, I can see why it's necessary for low ranks but Legend rank and higher shoud already have enough players in MM

All bots do is get in the way EVERY TIME, not to mention the XP for killing these annoying trolls is pathetic.

Bots are just another bad update in a very, very long list of bad updates, hence the reason why I included no.13 in my "TO SCRAP LIST".

1. Remove all of the hovering hulls (Of course without forgetting about milions of crystals as a compensation for them). No balance changes would fix how broken they are with that air drifting power...

2. Remove all of those old-drone-based augments (Lifeguard, Blaster, Miner, Driver). Literally removing them from game and bringing them back as augments was one of the worst updates ever happened in this game. Pure cash heist!! With those hovering hulls they make unbelivably OP combo that destroys many battles by one-sided win.

3. Remove "Dead bodies" heavyweight. Too heavy to be pushed and blocking the way (not only in road meaning, but also for many weapons, e. g. smoky shots often blocked, shafts in arcade mode, meanwhile firebird, freeze or splash damage weapons/augments can easily deal damage through them.

4. Decrease time limit of equipment changes in battles. Only 1 thing changed and can't do anymore changes. Like 4-5 minutes cooldown would be fine...

Good for whom? Cause its relative. I can see how slowing down the game makes it good for devs. Less exp, less rewards, more time, etc. For me to be honest it's nothing but frustration. Games should not frustrate players cause they leave.

In my opinion, augments are good to have in the game as they change how the turret works but it requires serious balancing to make the game interesting, I understand that game requires players to spend money to gain an advantage but when every battle is just facing the same augments (turret and hulls), it gets really frustrating to play.

 

Dead bodies need to be removed from the game, once a tank dies, it should not block the way of other alive players trying to engage or escape, regardless of enemy or ally tank. Like someone above mentioned, only firebird, freeze and some splash damage turret can get around this while other shots are just blocked.

 

I understand that no matter the amount of balancing, a game simply cannot please all players but when a same issue is repeated over and over, it no longer becomes the players' problem about the game. A successful game is only successful when its player base is satisfied with its content.

Dead tanks make your tank immobile for a brief period of time by blocking your path.

That increases your chance of getting killed by the enemy.

Which causes you to use your supplies immediately upon respawn (damage, speed, or shields--or whatever).

 

Anything that causes you to die increases the chance that you will use supplies upon respawn.

And if you somehow run out of supplies, there is a chance you will spend money to get more.

 

Die enough times and there is an increased chance you will spend money to upgrade your tank in some manner to prevent yourself from dying so much in the future.
