In my opinion, it's smoky. I don't like to use it, but it's annoying, critical hits are powerful, and there's no doubt it's useful for killstealing if you can hypothesize how much health an enemy tanker has. But, it really depends on whether you like the weapon, and if you're skilled on it or not.

Exactly. Railgun suits maps like Silence, Kungur. But it not in Ping-pong or Farm. Ricochet is not made for sniping, so it sucks on maps like stadium. Shaft suits there, but not on small maps.

The best gun is the one that is suited to your individual skills, hull, paint, tactics and strategies. It evolves with rank, since your opposition grows in skill, and the hulls, weapons, and paints they can use change.

Ah...Smoky. It's so multipurpose...decent for sniping, good for attack, and can troll everyone because of its good auto-aim. However, if you actually use rico's rico-ing, you can troll everyone on Silence because it's almost impossible not to hit someone with the surfaces you can bounce off of.

Smoky is not OP. Whatever way you look at it. If you have a lucky day at the criticals, then you're lucky. Not OP.

 

The best gun overall in Tanki IMHO is Freeze, as it is in my opinion, the most "OP'd". However, I would never use it.

(facepalm) to those who say thunder is strong: Thunder is weak on it's own. The reason you lot find it OP is:

 

1. You are player with M0s or M1s

2. Many players these days use Thunder. Therefor it seems OP because: Thunder's Thunder's friend (No kill)

lower m1 strength

higher m2 buying level because its basicly m3 in an m0 battle .-.
