To quote the ever legendary Sniper from TF2 - Sniping is a good job.

 

Especially here, I mean. I have played using close range turrets (Freeze, Twins, Firebird) and they're only good if you can speed in and then you need the weaker health armors which leave you hell of a vulnerable. With the main sniping turrets (Smokey, Railgun, Shaft) it's so frikkin' simple to beat down people who come your way it's barely funny.

 

I know people have their own preferences with what is good as a turret and what's bad but I've yet to have a problem in games with my smokey and hunter combo and my buddy has shown me that a Viking and Shaft combo truly beats nearly everything going when it's on the right map. I guess that's another part of it. Snipers succeed at maps like Stadium and Wave.

 

So does anyone have an opinion on this? I prefer sniping it out on Tanki due to the high amount of kills I get per-game through it.

Wait are you talking about the character "Sniper" or just a player who pwns at sniping?

 

 

On topic part.

You do pick what gun suits you best it's just prefered that you use Railgun, Thunder, Shaft on Stadium

 

On wave it's good map for almost all the guns

 

Small places like Farm or Island usually would have the Freeze or Ricochet which are good

 

Camp is pretty much Sniper only (Plus Healers from isida) unless you go on that Platform with 2 freeze people dueling it out.
