Running Tanki Online using Standalone Flash Player

Please share your experience, pros and cons etc. of  running Tanki, using the Standalone Flash Player?

 

How much did it increase your FPS?

 

If links to battles (including links to private battles) don’t work (from the Wiki) - does that mean Friends will not work?

 

You need to close the player to re-enter (from Wiki) - so can you not refresh/rejoin and keep your Battle stats?

 

How do you change servers in SFP?

 

How pleased are you that you changed to SFP?

 

Peeps - Please share anything re. SFP

 

Mods - Please leave this topic open to enable  all  to post,  and exchange views / info etc. about their SFP experience.

How do i get standalone? I did it the way it told me to in the tanki help but it didnt work....link outdated maybe? thnx

First, google flashplayer_13_sa.exe and download it from somewhere. I would usually suggest downloading it from the Adobe website, but I honestly couldn't find it there.

 

Second, go to http://en.tankiwiki.com/Running_Tanki_Online_using_Standalone_Flash_Player. Just get the links from there and enjoy. The links from the original forum post DO NOT work, so use the wiki.

 

Third, enjoy. This eliminated my FPS spikes and lag completely. I do, however, suggest closing the browser when you're using this - it makes quite a difference in FPS to me.

Does that mean Tanki Friends battle links will not work? :o

 

I have tried 4 browsers - all have various problems. At the moment Standalone appears to also have substantial limitations / problems - I use Friends links alot, so at the moment, I'm reluctant to download Standalone.

 

Also mods, Is my topic in the wrong forum section - its not getting many replies.
