Chat command to communicate with friends

i was wondering that when i come online and most of my friends are already in a battle so at that time it becomes hard for me to communicate with them. The only option i get is to invite. but what if my friend is in a long battle and top scorer. he will reject my invite. and what if only 1 minute left in ending of a battle?

 

so my idea is to introduce chat command function like i just logged in Tanki and my friend Hazel-Rah is in a battle. and i would like to know how much time left to end the battle so i will simply type this in a server chat.

/w Hazel-Rah: hey want to play together. how much time left in ending of your battle? 

 

Private messaging:

/w [playername] or /whisper [playername] - send a private message to a player 

 

so Hazel will get my message in private while he is in battle and he will respond to me in the same way :D

A great idea, though a few things that should be fixed into this idea
 

1. The message will appear in spot in which it doesn't block anything of importance

2. You can only send messages at a certain amount on time, like you have to wait 10 sec to send next message, just to reduce spam

3. You should be able to turn on and off this feature, since some people may not want messages

first please read those topics you posted before spamming on my topic with that COC. and it isnt about just friends either. so please dont search the forum section with "Friends" "personal message" in it cause you will get atleast 20 topics with those words   :lol:

 

i am talking about chat command in game. so with help of that the message will be shown to your friend or any player in game chat.

 

 

and the whole private chat messaging that those topic contains is a different thing. they are talking about a private chat bar. like you have on facebook.

 

and the private messaging will be introduced in unity version. that to like facebook chat column. 

 

but the thing i am talking about can be implemented in current version as well as unity version and i guess that will be much better.

You know, the Devs are trying to keep Tanki Online as simple and as smooth as possible for newbies who don't know anything about the game.

And this would be way too complicated, and they might not even figure it out without help. In my humble opinion, the other idea topics are much more simple.

not many of us knew at starting that how we can change graphic settings or how we can use standalone flash player or for the point many of us didnt even knew how to self destruct(until TO started showing that option while you are flipped press delete).

 

and it is not that complicated. it is basic function for modern gamers. and for the TO it should get advance as per the generation. well they are doing it better graphics, better balance, better game engine etc. so if this function is going to added up. Tanki will still be simple and smooth.

 

and for the point newbies doesnt even need this option as they are new. they can play like they want to(Nobody is saying you have to use this option? eh?) but this is needed for high rank players.

The key word there is simple. I don't mind a new msging system, I really support the idea, but this way of doing it might be a little too complicated.

i already told you it isnt complicated. 

simple as you vote players like this /vote deadtoyuo.

all you need to do is change that to /w deadtoyou.

whats complicated in that -_-

 If he declines your invite then it means he will decline your message too, so in others words, if your invite is rejected it means "NO".

The message will not go as invite goes. the message will be shown in game chat. so he can see that and reply to me.

 

and what i am on RU1 and my friend is in EN1. 

he got high score and the battle is about to end in 5 minutes.

so if i invite him. he definately is going to reject my invite. but when i message him he can reply to me that 5 minutes left in ending of the battle. so i will wait for him and later we will play together.

 

otherwise i will be busy in my own battle and he will be in his own. so this idea will only make friends to play together even though they are in different battles but still they can talk to each other and set a specific time to play together.

The idea sounds good^ But the communicating players may sabotage the game for others players while they talk between each other, causing the players to be inactive in the battlefield, in other words, Multing.

hmm yes this might can happen. but everybody wants to win. so i dont think it is going to affect that much.

 

if we think like this the normal game chat can also lead to sabotage the game as few players start talking to each other which will also cause players to be inactive on battlefield.

 

so i am going to think of your point and will find a suitable idea to overcome the issue you are talking about. Thanks :)
