Welcome my fellow eSports followers. Recently, EN eSports team announced a new tournament for European Clans called International Championship and to spice things up, announced new special paint as the prize for the winners. I hope everyone is excited for this, but before the clash of clans begins, let’s talk about some of the finest clans of our community and also talk to their respective leaders. Hopefully this article will help players to decide which clan to root for in this tournament if they haven't chosen one yet. They are not in any particular order.

Penguins

Pengs are currently, without a doubt, the best EN clan. After the fall of All Kind, Pengs took over as face of EN community and haven’t disappointed their fan base. After the addition of three ex All Kind players and one ex Bronze player, Pengs became stronger than ever before. They are first in current Blitz standings and are somewhat favorite to win Clan Master of Swords tournament.  Also, we don’t know about how HZD will perform in this tournament and currently there is no clan in EN that puts tough fight against Pengs, so if everything goes by plan, they should win it all. Let’s have a chat with their leader, Boris.

Who do you think will give you toughest competition and why do you think so?

@I3oris: Overall, we think HZD will give us the toughest competition due to their eSports experience. However, we aren't underestimating less experienced clans such as KN and TOR. We know the strength and weaknesses of all the clans in this competition so we will choose formats accordingly.

Is there anyone else helping you lead Pengs? If so, how?

@I3oris: [member=FinalStage] and I lead PenGs together. He has the esports knowledge about the majority of other clans and gives us an insight of what our opposition will be like.

What changes took place after addition of @Lankbouv, @CriminaL_LyF, @Ne_T, and @xMoneyMaker? Which players had to give up their spot for these 4?
@I3oris: With the addition of these members we now have a much more defined XP/BP LF squad and hard/medium/plasma squad. This will really help us in the play-off stage provided we make it that far, which we hope we will. We are not a full 20 squad so nobody had to give up their place.

How are you guys preparing for this EN tournament?

@I3oris: We are taking this tournament stage by stage. We are in the process of choosing our desired maps and we already know which format to choose against which enemy  in the group stage. Once the play off stage is around the corner we will analyze all our possible opponents, come up with tactics and of course train as much as we can.

We are really looking forward to this long awaited competition and wish all clans the very best of luck on the battlefield.

Jokers

They were the last clan to qualify for Top League and it was no less than a solid entrance. They managed to win all the RCs they played from RC N16 to RC N22 in order to join Top EN clans. Recent additions surely made them better than ever. Many players like to call them the second best EN clan after PenGs and they definitely perform like second best EN clan. They are doing fairly well in Blitz as well. PenGs will surely feel heat of Joker’s firepower. Now let’s meet newly appointed clan leader, Scuderia, and have some talk with him.

Jokers has had success in the past. Do you feel you guys will do great with these new members as well?

: The reason why Jokers had success in the past is because they did stick up together no matter what happened and tried harder and harder to get at a better level. The same thing will repeat only and if only we stick together again with the new members and believe in everyone in the team. The other reason of Jokers' success is in the members themselves, I respect the decisions they make and how they actually behave because without my members to support me, I'm a not a leader.

You recently became leader of this clan. How do you plan to work with your clan’s old members and also with these new members?
: My old members are my main team, we know how to coordinate together and play together. My new members are not my main team yet, but still, it doesn't mean they won't play because some of them are better than my old members. But right now, I'll say we will need to build coordination with them. What's great in Jokers is that it doesn't matter if you are new or old, you have your place in the clan, every member knows it and respects it. And I'm the first one to yell at them if they don't want to train.

With HZD rebuilding and couple of Top league clans being inactive, do you guys see yourselves finishing in TOP 2? How do you plan to match up against PenGs and HZD?

: HZD achieved many things and they are rebuilding themselves with a team that has not played many tournaments together. If they reach play-off and get their old members who left during transfers, they can surely go for Top 2 or even Top 1. I believe we can finish Top 1, my members are bit more pessimistic. Still, they're up to fight until the end with me. And about PenGs, they are right now the best English clan, we can win against them if we are smart enough to find how they play, how they coordinate in battle, and above all, if we trust in ourselves. I personally think that HZD's best players right now are and @UnKnown_AngeLz and PenGs' best players are and @Assertive.

Tanki Online Romania, mainly known as TOR, is highly experienced clan that has been here for a while now. Their strongest formats are without a doubt Hard and Medium along with Plasma. Some players called them a weak unit when it comes to XP/BP related formats, but that is no longer the case. They recently won against highly talented XP/BP team Legion in RC and also won the finals. Their strongest points are their communication skills and teamwork and  they proved that when they won against old clan Dynasty in a newly introduced format “Critical”, where you must rely on your teamwork and communication skills. New clan leader will have to prove himself and there is no better opportunity than this upcoming tournament. Let’s ask Andrew some questions about his clan.

TOR has always been really good in hard and medium format but XP/BP related formats has been your weak point. So, has this changed under new leadership of yours?

@T.O.R_Andrew: Yeah, we have been always good in Medium and Hard format, but I can't say that XP/BP have been our weakness. As leader of my clan, I'll try to do my best to improve our gameplay in all formats and to bring the clan in top places in the upcoming tournaments.

How do you guys prepare yourselves for all these future tournaments and particularly for this upcoming EN tournament?
@T.O.R_Andrew: We train hard every day and we participate weekly at the TOSL's tournaments to improve our gameplay and to build a strong chemistry between us.

While all these other clans are making moves by adding new members, TOR haven’t added or removed anyone so far. Does this mean you already have enough talent in your roster?

@T.O.R_Andrew: Actually, I did transfer members, but they were either inactive or didn't respect the rules and were replaced with another active and respectful players.

Supremacy

Even though they are fairly new clan, they have managed to beat Jokers in the finals of RC 22. Recently, they shocked eSports fans by winning against Black and White (BaW) and Deja Vu in Blitz N3 and N4 respectively. They also made changes to their squad by adding tons of new players. They might be newly joined second league clan but they are no less powerful than Top League clans and they surely are going to try prove themselves in this tournament. Let’s have few words with a young clan leader, Decision.

Recently, you removed pretty much all old members of Supremacy and got a brand new squad. How well do you expect this new squad to play?

: Of course, I expect them to do better then the old squad. We are trying to get into the Top Blitz teams so we can participate in the upcoming Master of the Sword tournament. Therefore, we need to beat big Russian clans. So, I expect the new squad must be able to beat the Top 10 clans.

Supremacy is fairly new clan and definitely lacks experience. How do you plan to match up against the likes of PenGs, HZD and TOR who have been here for long time?

: We will choose the format which we think we can beat them in, though, if we aren't host we just have to train over and over again. Training is everything and we should focus on it if we play against experienced clans like this.

I’m sure preparations are going good, but what are your goals for this upcoming EN tournament? Where do you see your clan standing?

: Well, I would like to end at least in the Top 5. It will be super hard and we have to train much, but if we keep training, then I think we can reach our goal and finish even higher.

Bad Intentions

Bad Intentions recently joined Second League along with Penguins, Supremacy and We Rise. They were in Finals against Penguins and they actually managed to win one round. B4D has had success in last year’s Blitz. But they ended up short to qualify for Clan Championship 10 which led to them closing their clan. They also had to face couple of eternal bans of their members last year. Many EN eSports fans may not know much about them since they don’t participate in weekly tournaments nor in Blitz, but their squad is experienced. They are the biggest underdogs going into this tournament and they will get opportunity to prove how good they really are. Let’s ask their leader and see what he has to say.

What has changed between old B4D and new B4D?

@Tepo: In general, almost all of us have stayed in B4D. We have a stable and reliable composition for a long time. The only difference is that we are even more closer to winning than we were last year.

B4D is not taking part in Blitz and looks kinda inactive in terms of training too. So is this clan active? And if so, how are you guys are preparing for this tournament?

@Tepo: Regarding the Blitz tournament, we are temporarily not involved too much because we are waiting for classifications for the Clan Championship. We've played the season a few times before and the results were good. The clan is very active, you can see it through the profiles of most of us. When it comes to training, we train as often as possible.

You guys are going into this tournament as underdogs. How well you expect your clan to do and what are your goals?

@Tepo: We will do our best to achieve the best possible result. The current goal is to get past the group stage and do good in playoffs and of course, win.

Biological Hazard

Last but not least, Biological Hazard. Couple of weeks ago, one of the original founders of Biological Hazard, LB-12 announced that after 5 years of success, HZD will now be closed. But player Classic decided to reopen the clan and will lead HZD in International Championship tournament. Classic has proven his leadership skills in Lords of Points by winning Acid paint. He does indeed have king squad to work with. Having the likes of @Rekstarr, and @UnKnown_AngeLz on your side can definitely boost your confidence, which is what this new leader need right now in order to match up against flawless PenGs. Let’s have little chat with the new leader, Classic.

This really is a fresh start for HZD under your leadership since many key players of this clan left and joined other clans. How do you plan to get this clan back on track?

: Indeed, it is a fresh start with a new line up. None of them wanted to leave since we had rather some interesting issues which led the clan to close. Now that we have a bunch of new players, hopefully we will manage to at least move from the group stage!

You have experience of leading a team, you led team IDK in Lords of Points and won first place along with Acid paint. So, where do you see your clan finishing in this upcoming EN tournament? How well can you do with all these pros not being on your side?
: I did lead my team IDK last time to victory. However, if it wasn't for those in the team, I'd not accomplish what we managed to do together. We will be at least finishing in the Top 16 at minimum and at maximum the Top 16 too. :D

Who do you think will be your toughest competitor in this tournament?
: I do not know who the toughest competitor is since I have been very inactive in eSports for quite a while and haven't seen much of it lately. Most teams here, I haven't played against myself or seen them play. So this tournament can be full of surprises too. Also, once the group stages will finish we will see who comes top in their groups and throughout we will see in the results section how well other clans did too. We shall wait and see!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

These clans will be joined by four other Top League clans, Falcons, Supernova, Dynasty and Knights and 5 Second League clans, We Rise, Death Squad, Happy Dragons, Fate of the Rail, and Legendary Warriors. Clan Anarchists has been closed due to inactivity, that’s why each team in their group gets 2 free wins. Which means total of 15 clans will be fighting for the new special paint and for crown of the best EN community clan.

Well, I will end my article here. I hope everyone enjoyed it. I would like to wish best of luck to all the participants. May the best clan win. Our community always wanted a tournament of our own, so get your popcorn ready because it’s surely going to be a blast.
