Replace Supply Rewards with Supply Currency

  • Introduce a new currency into the game. Let's call it Tokens for now.
  • You can get these Tokens as part of missions, challenges or containers;

    eg, Instead of getting 125 Speed boosts, you get the equivalent value (125*50) in Tokens

  • You can also buy Tokens with crystals 1:1

    ie, 1 crystal buys 1 Token

  • You can use your Tokens to buy/activate any supply (batteries not included)

    eg, 50 Tokens will buy 1 Speed Boost.

  • You cannot trade in your Tokens for crystals
  • You can buy them in the shop

Hopefully you see where I'm going with this.

Remove all the individual supply rewards, eg, 32 Double Armors or 125 Mines and get Tokens instead so we can get what we want to get. No longer will we have uneven garages where we have too much of one thing and not enough of another.

The thinking is we could free up part of the garage too. There is little point in saying I want to buy 30 DD's for example with my tokens and then populating a Double Damage section wth 30. This can be bypassed by just pressing 3 in the game. If we have the tokens then a DD gets deployed.

Great idea especially for thosE who already have 50000 speed boosts and they have to play for 30 more by earning 1500 xp in ASL :D :D :D

Had enough of nitros and mines already so this is a very good idea if and when it gets implemented.

Nice try mate :D

 

Maf will come and decline it because it affects the economy badly as if players were able to choose what supplies they will get, ''1500 supplies kit'' wouldn't be sold much :D

 

I would like to see this feature implemented but sadly this won't...

okay let's get serious

 

if this update gets released, I wouldn't get scared of spending my repairs... and I would only play Tanki. This is even better than bringing 1500 supplies kit back to the garage, IMO this would really affect the economy bad, but for me, this is a good idea.

 

However, I'm sure devs won't release this.

Well we should all get behind it. If it hurts their pockets too much, I would be willing to increase the prices of supplies slightly in order to have the right supplies at my disposal at the right time. I'm sure there is a comprimise somewhere.

No, I was just kidding. The idea is still interesting though. Maybe even make crystals only be used towards buying and upgrading equipment and not for buying supplies. Tokens just for supplies. In other words make players spend wiser.

mines are at least usefull, having 100k speed boosts is not

Personally, I use the speeds alot with my Firebird so I can get close enough to hit things.

That could work too and because of that we may not even need a currency, instead something like energy units that turn into DA ans so on.

 

1 Energy point could be equal to 50 crystals, so when we click 2 for DA we consume one. When we click 1 for a RK we consume three.

But wouldn't those energy units be a 2nd currency?

 

We would need an independant supply currency. It can't really be bypassed because tanki can't give us rewards directly in crystals. If that was the case, there would then be nothing in the way of us spending those cystals on upgrades and so on. Best also to keep the scale at 1:1 to cater for price changes as it would need to be flexible to ensure their income doesn't get effected. Also, it looks better on a daily mission getting a big amount.

Yes, I don't want to get mines anymore, so a %25 increase in supplies' prices would be a good choice! 

 

 

Personally I prefer not any increase  :ph34r:

What you're describing is what I've already suggested, minus the batteries. I've already explained why 1:1 ratio is better. What if they wanted increase the price of a RK? They can't make it 3 and bit can they?

Buy/Activate/currency/energy units: just semantics.

Batteries should be kept separate as these are automatically used without a key press.
