NATN [issue 3] how to prevent getting hacked and what to do if you get hacked

First off as most of you probably know this is my first article for the NATN so please no criticism


What to do if you get hacked and the hacker changed your password

First contact help@tankionline.com as as soon as you realize that you have been hacked. They will ask you a few questions (what is your nickname.. When were you on last?. Etc...) .once you answer these questions they will send another email asking some more questions (how many crystals did you have? . What is the most used combo? Etc.....) if you answer these correctly you will most likely get your Account back

What to do if you get hacked but the hacker didn't change your password

First (and most obvious) change your password immediately. After you do that do the above



How to prevent getting hacked

1) don't fall for the phony offers of supposed "free crystals" they just want your password so that they can hack your account

2) almost the same as above. Don't click on those links that people put up in chat (unless they are links for tankionlineforum.com. #rules Etc....) cause they will normally lead to fake sites that ask for your password so that people can hack your account



Ways to help keep others from getting hacked

1) Always report someone who is offering "free crystals"

2) Always make sure to report other tankers that are Phishing (asking for passwords. Asking for credit/debit card information)

3) Before they leave, take a screenshot, video, any thing that's unedited and make sure you can see the violator clearly violate the rules, they post it in the violation area of the forum, we will explain that in the future too
