Honestly TO has removed all easy ways of earning crystals. They got rid of the Daily Reward Crystals and now the boxes. Whats next? Tanki removing the ranking up gift and battle fund? So players have to buy Crystals? Tanki is going too far in order to make money.

This rewards better players, and punishes noobs. I like it much better now, as it makes the fund divide a lot more, if you do well in a battle. It  also increases the chances of gold boxes falling, so Big Upvote for Semyon and the Devs!!

Agree-the crystals were a fun part of the game.  The druggers (I'm referring to the ones that ALWAYS drug and can't seem to play without them-not the occasional ones) and crystal buyers (real money) of course want to maintain the status quo as it is now as it is to their advantage.

 

As for the comment above about seeing more gold boxes because the 10 point crystals are gone?  Seriously?  I've seen no evidence of that.

 

Also, the 10 point crystals helped a lot if you were on a losing team.  The druggers would get a huge amount of points, but the non-druggers could at least pick up a few dozen or so on top of a dismal reward.

Crystal drops aren't coming back. Simple economics: the price of oil is plunging and the ruble is plunging against all major currencies.

You are correct.  It is a business they are running here.  So, if they want to make it a pay to play game, then they should do so.  If not, quit taking away the chance to earn a few freebies during games.  Given the cost of drug items, I can't see how collecting a few blue boxes in a game will send Tanki into bankruptcy.

Supply drops are actually worth 50 - 150 crystals each so if you think about it you are getting "free" crystals by picking up drops.

 

I agree it was more fun with 10 crystal drops, but, I understand why they cut them out and why they aren't going to come back.

Crystal boxes drops would be lovely on special occasions.

That said, I am 100% sure that they won't revert the update. So, getting used to it is the only option.

I agree. Now, with the crystal boxes removed, it has become very difficult to get crystals. 500 crystals used to be nothing. Now, us lower ranked players (below the Lieutenants) have to work VERY hard to get 500. Gold boxes are always gotten by more powerful players, and battle fund is hard to come by, as battles can be extraordinarily long.

 

I vote we bring them back.

Unusual, i never used to earn more than 500 crystals very often even at your rank, now i do...

 

I do miss them but if they are added to battle fund everyone gets a fair share, not just one person greedily grabbing them all, multing which mods had to account to day to day, now the battles are more competitive and i've gotten used to not seeing them, maybe they should drop on special occasions, but really lower ranks earn less crystals than higher ranks do due to m1, m2 and m3, either you join higher ranked battles or you don't play will enough, i can't see much issue there

The developers have decided that the crystals instead of dropping will be added to the fund. They're not gone, they're just available in a different form. In my opinion, it increases the battle fund faster = more chance of gold! The developers won't change it as lots of players like the update.

I remember 3 golds dropping in five minutes when I played on Barda, and that was before the crystal box removal update! Gold boxes are really random, but honestly it seems like they fall in "packs" way too often for it to be completely random.  <_>

I agree - I can go hours on the same map without a single drop, then, all of a sudden a few minutes into the next round 2 or 3 gold boxes fall almost in sequence. Clearly something is wrong with how they work now.

TBH it is much harder to get crystals now than it was when crystal boxes were around. On the other hand, battles are much much more active and every player is taking part in the battle, which is good.

 

If I could make a decision to help decrease the crystal box complaints, I would want daily gift values to go up just a small bit, like maybe provide 4-5 more supply boxes than they do now, just so both sides are happy.

Devs concluded that battles are more fair by removal of crystal boxes and also removed mults.

P.S. personally I do feel bad at their removal because to earn 100 something crystals also I have to play for 30 min. Earlier just by grabbing crystal boxes I could collect that amount.
