Reduce power of garage supplies

Why compare me to RustyNail ? He is a good person and I thank him for his contribution and his selflessness. My lack of English language ability prevents me from doing in his place. If your answer is only made for attack him, it has no interest as usual. This will be my last conversation with you.

No. Rusty has throughout this topic, took pictures of players using supplies as evidence of their excessive drugging. I made a couple of relevant points with that last post that being one of them, ie, you can't tell someone is a drugger from a picture. 2) You don't drug nearly enough to be competitive and I'm sure you have had more than 11 repair kits given to you freely by tanki since ratings came out. If you want more fun, try playing the game how it's meant to be played.

My posts in this topic have been on topic. I have also made suggestions elsewhere which I believe give low supply users better rewards but to no avail. I have been actively trying to find alternatives and solutions. But what I can't accept is this line about players who conform to standard battles, going elsewhere because non-supply users can't be bothered to buy pro passes to play in no-supplies battles and that's because they want those crystals to better their garage. It's pure nonsensical.

Tanki have done an awful lot for free to play players but Rusty wants to have his cake and eat it too.

Find sensible alternatives, give them thought, try make them simple, don't impact on tanki's financial bottom line, make them sensible and above all fair. Comply with these things and I'm sure someone will consider it.

Sorry, can't do that, was expelled from this forum section by its community :D

If I recall correctly, it was your decision to leave and nobody expelled you. It's all water under the bridge now. Your ban is over. I'll allow you back in but only if you're good.

people are literally repeating the same arguments over and over and over and over...

look drugging is a choice, if someone decides to buy a drug kit he is choosing to buy drugs as an investment, because he thinks it is more worth it than MUing or buying new equipment. Druggers get more of the fund, so they are paid back by their investment in a drug kit. In the end, drugs may or may not pay back their value in crystals; if they do, then clearly drugging is a better option financially

that is why people drug

and please don't call me a dirty drugger or whatever I don't drug ok that doesn't mean it is automatically a horrible evil sin

yes I realize I am a noob

that doesn't make me stupid

DRUGS 4 NOOBS XD

But seriously, even supply pickups are overpowered. 45 seconds you say? A long time to be OP, especially in comparison to the battle length. If they buy drugs? They eat out of the battle fund, and so many crystals are wasted -.-

Devs... there is someone... ? Hello are you there... ??  Devs... devs.... Do you exist ???

We like this game as much as the druggers. You know...we also participate at its interst. Can we ever hope to be heard ?

A constructive response  please

Guys, joking apart, the programmers are incredibly busy people. If they had to come in here and get actively involved in responding to threads, their work would never get done. That's why the forum mods and myself are here. It's our job to communicate with the community.  :)

Or, hear me out,  or they're a Russian-based team and have only a single English CM.

So please can you nerf supplies to 50% more power because because m0 druggers have the same stats as m2s which is clearly unfair :(

Hello there,

this topic started because a part of players felt that the excessive use of supplies (which we call drugging) creates huge imbalance to the game and favors too much top buyers. We have gathered all the evidence we could, researched into the interaction of supplies and the extreme OPness that they produce when combined and came with some proposals that all of them can be found in the topic's summary, at page 71 (there is a link on the front page as well).

Since, some things changed, the most important of which where the increase of free supplies gift that Tanki launched via the week's extra bonus and (as a counter-balance) an increase of drugging through the battles..

We do not really expect any significant update in this version of Tanki (except maybe a nerf in repair kit) but we are really interested whether Tanki-X will handle power selling  in any different way, so that the company's income will not come from power selling only but other aspects as well, provided that such a difference will result in a decrease of top buyers' power over non buyers.

What can you tell us in regard to this issue?

Regards,

RustyNail

I forgot to mention, that few weeks ago, this topic was infected with bugs and other kinds of low life, like trolls. So we would appreciate a good de-worming.

What you should know then. Players here don't buy supplies in order to concentrate on garage equipment instead. They moan constantly about supply users to the point where they can no longer use their own for fear of being labelled a hypocrite. The proponent of this topic, Brubook, read a post by Rustynail a little while back where Rusty was publicly naming and shaming players for using supplies in a supplies enabled battles. Later that very same day,  Brubook entered the same side of those players named and sabotaged the battle. He got a ban for his trouble and has not been seen since such is his embarrassment.

Most of their output here is nonsense. Let's look at some of page 71 grievances.

1.01 Drugging is practically enforced in standard battles. It tends from optional to become mandatory.

i) Supply use is allowed in standard battles.

ii) It is a default setting for standard battles and can't be switched off.

iii) If you don't want to face supply using opposition then you need to buy a Pro Pass so you can play in battles where supplies can be disabled.

1.02 Anyone that doesn't drug is – most of the time – feeling frustrated and unhappy. And driven away from battle (eventually away from game)

Examine the reasons why you don't use supplies.

i) If it is a question of ethics then see Reply #1.01. Standard battles is not the place for you.

ii) If it is because you have few supplies and don't want to waste them then you must learn to use what you have in conjunction with drops and become more competitive. Play to your strengths, not your weaknesses. Use your surroundings to your advantage. Don't play in maps where you can expose yourself to the enemy easily.

iii) It goes both ways too. Anyone that doesn't use supplies in a supplies enabled battle where you face a drugging opposition or when your side is losing, can seem mult-like to those actually trying to win. The players using supplies are left feeling frustrated and unhappy. They are sometimes driven away from the battle (sometimes from the game).

I might just answer all their grievances. Consider this part 1.

^ My God, you're such a disappointment. Never expected such a poisonous attitude from you. Constantly twisting my words and interpreting my motives so wrong (but of course, you use your self as a pointer so that's only natural).  I pity you. I really do. Such an appropriate name you have chosen. -_-

More insults. I've come to expect that of you and you don't do yourself any favours by persisting in that vein, but nevertheless, I will continue to post relevant, insightful, thought-provoking educational posts here. Even though you may have given up on trying to find all-round, fair solutions and alternatives, I haven't.

I hated druggers one time too, just like you hold them all in contempt now, but then tanki brought out update 294 that changed my attitude to drugging. This topic, entitled "math behind TO Reward" by @andreaNEW discussed the old way in which tanki split the battlefund between teams and individual players. It wasn't fair that the person coming first should get the lion's share of the split and the losing side could potentially get nothing. But andreaNew and myself finally cracked the formulas that tanki kept secret.

Then update 294 was introduced in November 2014 and it gave incentive to players to stay in the game, even when losing, in order to get a share of the battlefund. Your share depended on your input and was now evenly distributed - the more you put in, the more you get out. This also meant that players who don't drug, actually get a huge benefit from playing with players who do drug because their share is relative. While the non-druggers don't get as much in terms in quantity, they actually get a better return in terms of expenditure.

After 294, you could join a vacant slot in a battle that had been raging for hours, join the winning side for 10 minutes and get the benefits of all their hard work for virutally no effort and your share maybe the smallest but it was still relative to others on that side when compared to your input.

So it's in non-druggers' best interests to befriend druggers and play with them, not against them, (certainly not alienate them),  but bear in mind, they won't appreciate mult-like performances either. They want you to compete should they be behind in the battle. Remember, they are the ones using their supplies at cost to them, not you!

Update 294 was a massive step in favour of players who want to compete both druggers and non-druggers alike.

So while you attack me for trying to analyse certain processes in detail, or for trying to understand fully what constitutes this or that in your mind, know this, there are reasons for it that most of you don't even consider.

So in this topic we have two sides, each saying that they are posting relevant information, and giving two replies to the developer here, who, like the players, is confused over whose idea to consider.

Listen, both sides make a strong, valid, and compelling argument. And the truth is that both sides are partially right. The solution is obviously somewhere in the middle. The tricky part is getting there.

As both sides have mentioned, there have been updates that have taken micro-steps towards the solution. And that's the way it's gonna be. This isn't an on/off problem; it's a bloomin' behemoth. We chip at it, little by little, basing ourselves on your feedback and experiences.

So, keep the discussion civil, keep contributing data and details, and the programmers will keep working on it. Loudmouths, trolls and snide remarks aren't gonna help the cause.

C'mon guys, gimme a nod (or a GDI if you prefer yellow... hmm... I wonder how many of you are old enough to get my idiotic attempt at humor lol).

Well.. personally I think this forum topic needs spectator mode so we can analyze tens of battles for each rank. Then record statistics and make this 100% scientific and fact based rather than 80% facts based for drugger claims and 4% fact based for anti drugger.

Ofc I say 4% for them because i beleive they are minority yet act a majority and therefore make claims that just come out false or with solutions (that we give and they refuse)
