Gold Box - Drop Zone Colour

I have a very important solution here for the gold box drop zone colour on maps. Since I have played on Tanki Online for the last two years, I have witnessed so many players struggling to search for the gold box drop zone on any map, including small maps like Island, Ping-Pong and Arena.

 

For summer maps, the drop zone of the gold box must be a bright florescent shiny gold colour that shines at long ranges.

 

For winter maps, the drop zone for gold boxes must be coloured in bright florescent shiny lime green colour to make it visible, even at long range distances.

 

The main reason why players get to the gold box drop zone too late is because they struggle to see the drop zone icon.

 

Even using helicopter mode camera view, the gold box drop zone is difficult to properly spot on any summer or winter maps, even in night mode.

 

As you can see from the image I have added to this post, the gold box drop zone is hard to see. On whatever surface the gold box drop zone icon appears it is not easy to see and find.

 

That is why I am asking for it to be re-coloured for player to see properly.

 

This is an update that I am really looking forward to have in Tanki Online.

This topic here is a problem and solution about the gold box drop zone icon colour, so this is the reason why I have created it here in the "Problems and Solutions" forum section.

 

Please make sure that the developers of Tanki Online are aware of this problem because over all those years since Tanki online was developed, this problem was never fixed by releasing a new update on the gold box drop zone icon colour for maps.

 

Please release a new update to reflect the colours of the gold box drop icon zone on maps.

 

1. Summer maps - Gold box drop zone icon - bright florescent shiny gold colour.

 

2. Winter maps - bright florescent shiny lime green colour.

Gold boxes shall always remain gold but the drop zone of the gold box will change colour to reflect the contrast on the surface it drops on.

Maybe an increase in visibility would be good but not too bright so players can see it from as distance. I love the feeling of searching for the drop zone and finally locating it but I wouldn't like everyone swarming over and I'm sure most players wouldn't either.  Just a tad bit brighter would help. :)

 

The main thing to maintain is the invisibility of the drop zone if you are greater than a certain distance away. Once you get into that range it doesn't matter how bright it is because you will probably find it either.

Real gold box rain.

 

Just a few minutes ago, I played on the Parma map in Parma DM battle on Server EN 1 and on the last 2:30 minutes left, just one player dropped 10 gold boxes in a row. I was killed many times over and did not manage to collect one gold box.

 

This was a real gold box rain. I have never ever witnessed such an event like this one before since I played Tanki Online during the last two years. The only thing that I can say is that, that player is not greedy of his gold boxes. He is very kind and generous.

 

If I has so many gold boxes, I would drop them too.

 

I want to save up crystals for Christmas Sale. Please come and drop me gold boxes for me now.

I am stunned by this player dropping 10 gold boxes one after the other in the same battle.

Glad that you're happy. Gold rains are a rare treat. I'm sorry you weren't able to catch any of them :(  Sometimes gold rains feature more than 10 gold boxes.

 

However, when you make the gold box easier for yourself to see, you also make it easier for others to see, meaning your chances of getting the gold box don't increase.

Automatic gold box missed by lag.

 

I have seen many players who were on the gold box drop zone and there was a lag. The gold box goes through the player's tank, and guess what...He misses the gold box.

 

The lag glitch is caused only because of lag. I have two ideas on how to solve this "Gold box goes through the player's tank" problem.

 

1. Fix this bug lag glitch.

 

2. Automatic gold box drops a second gold box, or 1000 crystals immediately given to the player.

 

When an automatic gold box is dropped and the gold box goes through the player's tank, there should be a backup system that automatically drops a second gold box on the current battle that has the gold lag.

 

Either way, the player who has had the gold box passing through his or her tank should be immediately given 1000 crystals for the bug lag glitch that caused that player to miss the gold box.

 

Lags are frequent. It is not fair for those poor hard working gold box hunters to suddenly see their gold boxes pass through their tank because of a bug lag glitch.

 

I feel so sorry for those gold box hunters.

 

Please add this update. It is very important to gold box hunters on Tanki Online.

Yes. A green icon for winter maps and a gold icon for summer maps.

 

Good try on your icon creation but it needs to be completely green. The gold box drop icon must be the same lime green as your green health bar on your tank (in your image) above.

 

Please consider my idea to be added as an update by developers.

Doesn't really make sense in my opinion. The drop zone is supposed to appear when the player is close enough to it, which makes finding the drop zone a challenge which is a part of the Gold hunting thrill. This would make the drop zone appear from far off, which would make catching golds not so hard as it is now. I wouldn't be satisfied if I just see a drop zone from far off and take it :p 

And if you are close enough to the drop zone, it would appear, and it will be easy to spot, no doubt on that.

I also don't understand what's wrong with the current color of Gold box drop zone. But, I think that the change of color for Gold box drop zone for @RIDDLER_8 is of essential importance.
