Ideas for Information in Profiles!

In the player's profile, it could show flags and points captured. Since it shows k/d and kills, it should also show flags and points captured to reward those players who care more about their team. In addition, it would be nice to show "total damage inflicted" and "total damage received", and from there, "damage ratio." This would help counter the bias against light hulls with short-range turrets in the k/d stats, and even the flags/points captured.

Thank you.

I'm so sorry, but I have to disagree.

Just like with K/D ratings people will be obsessed with the flag and point counts and will loose their focus on winning, sometimes you need to defend your flag rather than going for another and abandoning your base, as an example.

It's also not fair for defenders and supporters.

And finally, people will just cheat to get good numbers, just like K/D ratings.

Related idea:

Main idea by Devin_The_Armageddon.

Hi tankers!

What I suggest is a kind of new simple mission.

How would it work?

I was thinking about that idea for few minutes. Mission would be to deal an amount of damage (since we can see how much damage is done to an enemy) to finish this mission. Is it Mammoth with 4000 HP? With fully killing him you just gained 4000 DD. You hit that enemy but didn't kill him? Simply, you gained the exact amount of DD as it is.

With ranks, well, lower ranks would have lower modification (M0,M1 etc.) of equipment so DD missions should be to deal less but proportionally amount of damage than their high friends who have M3, M3+ equipment which can deal much more damage in less time than them. How proportionally? Well you should think. Calculate how much time takes similar type of missions. It shouldn't be like 10 000 low because normally hulls have a lot more armor and would take too fast to make DD mission. Warrant Officer 1 might get 25 000~50 000 while Generalissimos 40 000~80 000.

Maybe even super-missions? What about to deal 9 999 000 DD (Wasp M1 has 1000 HP and old super-missions like 9999 kills, well, 10 mil. DD be like 9999 kills done by killing that amount of Wasps M1) and get 80k Crystals?

All is welcome! :)

Aren't most of those ideas useless anyways?

Too many data in the players' profile might confuse newbies.

Yes. But an idea doesn't always have to be very useful to be good. Sometimes small improvements are better than big changes.  Otherwise you end up with the Daily mission update.

If the devs decide to implement this idea, then to get to is to hover over the deaths and a drop down box would appear below it listing all the turrets that have killed you from most deaths to least deaths.

Ex.

Deaths: 91 (total)

13 thunder
12 Firebird
11 Twins
10 Hammer
9 Freeze
8 Ricochet
7 smoky
6 Shaft
5 Isida
4 Vulcan
3 Railgun
2 magnum
1 striker

The numbers on the left would indicate how many times the turret killed you in all your tanki career and the turrets would be indicated by their symbols.

Sorry if you don't like my example :D

What do you guys think?

I forgot to add mines even though they aren't turrets, mines can kill as well, sorry about that

Don't worry, your example is good enough to get the clue ;)

Do you maybe have a proposal, how the game should handle the old kills? The kills that you collected before the introduction of such a feature, have no "killed by turret" information.

Nah, we just start from scratch, just to make it easier on the devs, the deaths for now can be in the "unknown" list

But once this feature gets implemented, it will count every death.

oups, I just banned you for a day... oh, I didn't :p

I learned here, that as a rule of thumb you may bump your topic once-in-five posts.

This means, you have to wait for 4 normal posts (non-bumps) to happen, before you can post a "bump" of something ;)

Oh darn, I guess I am the original owner of this idea now :P

But I'm sure everyone has thought of it before I did, haven't they?

Anyway, back on topic, this is a simple feature which tells the viewer how many steps of upgrades the owner of the equipment has done for that modification.

Yes, but it doesn't mean that someone never thought something like this.

I don't know why the necessity of showing all the data of the player..

This isn't all the data of the player, and besides, it would help players in preparing for when they face such an opponent in battle

People already opposed a lot when their garages were open to be seen by everyone..disclosing their MUs would be...........

...no different than playing a battle where everyone can press V or R and see your micro-upgrades?

On the other hand, maybe some people are extremely curious, but I really don't see the use of having micro-upgrades in the profile. I'd much rather have something like 'Total hours played.'

Good point...I like it...Didn't think that way...

I agree to the former part...but nor do I see any point to have the 'total hours played'...I mean, what will you do with it? (I don't even see a point of the total respective hours with combos they currently show..except being swanky about it) :p

Well, I kinda like knowing the total amount of hours that I've spent in the game, not that it is really important, but when I see numbers I automatically start making calculations. If you add up the total hours of all your turrets, all your hulls, all your protections, and all your paints respectively, they don't always match. At the end of the day, it's just a matter of curiosity anyway. Some people would like to know other people's micro-upgrades, I would like to know the total amount of hours that I've spent on the game. I guess it's not that different.
