Mini Map

Recommended Posts

In order for this mini-map to work, it would need to be 3D, and that would cause tons of lag, and if you had an option to turn it off, the players with better net conection would be able to use & abuse, so this idea is a bad one. explanation for why it has to be 3D: as you can tell, tanki isn't exactly a 2d game, take the map "madness" for example. either they'd have to be 3D and lagging, or 2D and confusing

well for sure it will be 2D its used to show where your Teammates and enemy base at, (including teammate health)

how about you have a minecraft related map. it would be like you are looking down on the board but in 2D.

i think that would be fine

it got to be 2D :D

As Wild said, most maps aren't so big and someone can easily find where everything is, but in maps like Dusseldorf this would be very helpful I believe!

I once got lost in Dusseldorf  and i found my self in the enemy base i dont know how :D :D , also in lost temple :P

Yes, It would increase the lag, but he said that you CAN turn it off in settings, so that players with good PCs can use it effectively.

And yes, it would make no sense to show the opponents health, but if you look at his first post, you'll see that he says very clearly that "The enemy's location and health status will NOT be included.

(In CTF mode, the friendly flag's location while held by an enemy will also not be shown, but when it's dropped, it is)"

All in all, I think this is a wonderful idea, new players could learn the maps easier, and bigger maps will be harder to get lost in. :D

I would also like to add to this idea--In CP mode, ALL the CPs will be shown, even if they aren't friendly. (My first time playing in Barda, I couldn't find one of the checkpoints fast enough to win the game, so yeah......Bigger maps with CP mode would be easier. :)

As I said before, this would be useful in large maps, and if you are playing in a small map, like Hill, Ping-Pong, or Duel, you can always turn it off in Settings

There could also be a way to change the size of the MiniMap, depending on how much you want to see. :P

It should be like it

A small map or a tracking system should be introduced which helps in navigation it could be used in team battles and can be turned off and on it will show the position where are the team mates and who own flag(only health of person owning flag would be displayed)  and where he is would be specified by team color for example players would be shown by black dots and the person nightgown flag would be shown by his team color red/blue and it will not show enemy in that map that would help a lot

it would be like this a small map in corner and the blue ones are team mates red sign on person owning flag and the map would be of arena in which we r playing of course not this map  and height would not be specified cause it will be too difficult but if position is known u can make height find yourself

This suggestion was also given before about 4 5 months ago ..... the battle attacking game will not be interested mostly player will stand on defend in the hoping of getting any chance to kill in xp battles so xp battles will be defensive battle :/ by executing this suggestion

I am sorry but i don't see any reason why would this be a risk to make XP a defensive battle? :D

maybe a minimap for maps that have larger than 12 players per team because for sandbox and island it is useless and just takes up the screen!!
