[Issue 4] Ten Reasons why Every Tankmen Should be in a Clan

I guess that some people could find my articles about Clans monotonous. After all, the way I always talk about clans and how certain clans work and how the clans system operates. After all, for most tankmen, they see no reason why they should be in a clan. After all, is it not just a pain in the neck that distracts you from getting on and playing the game? Well, some people see it like that. But I want to tell you guys some good reasons why you should not see it like that. Why you guys should be looking at joining a clan, to get the most out of your Tanki Online experience.

Let's get the really, really, obvious one out of the way first. Why should you join a clan? So that you can have Tanki friends who help you in battles, of course. I mean, 95% of people who join a clan join it for this reason, and those who do not join a clan still want people who help them in battles. After all, you know those battles which are closely-matched? The ones you really want someone who you can rely upon to help you? Would it not be so much better to have Tanki friends you can rely on to help you in those battles?

Again, a pretty obvious one. In ordinary Tanki battles, you learn a general amount of skills. But those skills can only take you so far, and there are certainly other people out there with more skills than you. If you join a clan, you can get taught by these "experts" to learn their skills. It's a lot harder to learn skills from others when you barely know them! Also, when it comes down to clan battles, there are a lot of things that can be learned which you cannot learn in an ordinary battle. These things can normally only be taught by someone with experience: skills that can only be learned in a clan. Learning from more experienced and more skilled tankmen is another great reason to be in a clan.

Believe it or not, being in a clan gives you more crystals. There are obvious ways: clan tournaments which your clan can take part in and potentially win, the ability to win more crystals with your clan helping you, clans letting you get the gold box if you have a weaker garage, and such like. But most clans also often have that one really rich person who can buy crystals for other clan members... and who knows, that other clan member that they buy for might be you next time!

I have to admit, parkour is one aspect of Tanki that never really caught my fancy. Maybe it was because I have never been good at it, or whether I simply find it boring, but I simply do not enjoy it. Even so, most tankmen do. Parkour is one of the most popular non-playing aspects of tanki, and one of the things that many tankmen enjoy doing in Tanki to pass the time. And how better to do parkour than with a group of tankmen from one clan all working together?

Simply, being in a clan means you have more people who you can work with in any normal Tanki battle. And for most people, working together in any game is always more enjoyable, especially when it normally results in a victory. With a clan, you could do that far more often – after all, teamwork in a game is what a clan is all about!

Some people do not enjoy having friends over the Internet, but I for one think that making friends over the Internet is a great thing to do. And a clan, in any online game, can be an amazingly great way to make friends with people who enjoy the same online game as you do. There are so many people who have made great friends online, many of whom have been part of a clan in any of the numerous online games. You could make friends too in a clan! Why not a Tanki Online clan, if you really enjoy the game?

Ever wanted to talk about tanki with people? If so, join a clan! Conversations in a clan chat are generally more helpful than server chat conversations, by the way - so don't think of the average level of conversation in the server chat and translate it into a clan.

So there you go. So far, I've give seven reasons to be in a clan. But yet, some of you are probably still not convinced. You guys probably realise that everything I've said so far can be done with a group of tankmen who like to chat together. After all, you hardly need to be a clan to work together in a battle, of course. You could form a tanki skype chat instead, or a group of people on a Tanki forum, or a xat chat, or whatever strikes your fancy.

But why, I say, be a group and not be a clan? What are the advantages in solely being based on a skype chat? There is no difference in being a group of tankmen from a clan, except for the inability to fight official clan wars and take part in clan tournaments. So why not be a clan as well, if you are part of a group of tankmen regularly contacting each other and fighting together? You may as well create a topic on the forum and act as a clan. There are also numerous advantages of being a clan, which a tanki club or group cannot bring. These are:

Clan wars are always a good learning experience. And how can you play in official wars, where gameplay is the most intense, if you are not in a clan? Clan wars are a Tanki experience not to be missed, especially when they are official and have lots of pride at stake. Only official clans can take part in such wars.

CjxCj.png

Why not? Clan tournaments are great fun to compete in with your Tanki friends, clan tournaments like the ToF and similar tournaments. Competing in a clan tournament or working together to win a clan contest is a really good reason for joining a clan, and one that can bring the most out of Tanki. If you are passionate about tanki, what is better than being winning things in a team in the game you are so passionate about?

YSWdd.png

You never know about this one... some of the best Russian clans were recently invited to take part in a test of the upcoming gamemode, currently called DOM. What other goodies are the developers' lining up only for the clans to test?

And there you have it. Ten reasons why YOU should be in a clan. Of course, all these reasons are not universal, and people will be convinced by some and not the others. And yes, I know that some people have very legitimate reasons for not being in a clan. But even so, there are many very good reasons for joining a clan, which I outlined above. Being in a clan is something very special in Tanki and an opportunity, if you are an avid Tanki player, not to be missed.

I think that this post may be a good point to tempt users to join clans; the english clans are not so numerous and they have to grow up. We had the clan dance competition that was almost a fail, but if the number of clans grow, there will be more and more contests for this community, such as english versions of the tof, etc. :)

I have been trying to get into a clan for over half a year now and nobody has given

me a clear way to send a request to join a clan or how to get invited.

I am sorry am i seeing things right. Clans teach you skills. You are good by playing on your own and you learn from your own mistakes in battle. Parkouring is boring also no offense everything else fine i will give you it

False, you cannot buy crystals for someone else in tanki, unless you mailed them your credit card (which I WOULDN'T recommend doing)

Too bad... :(
