Unfair advantages to the blue team at Tribute

Recommended Posts

Hi,

these additional abilities to smuggle in the enemy flag and then keep it practically indefinitely are giving the blue team advantages, which are not fair.

1. A recent article http://forum.tankionline.com/posts/list/146998.page is just another confirmation that the hiding place on the wall gives the blue team an unfair advantage over the opponents, who are physically prevented from climbing up the slanted wall in safety of their own base side before they can attack the keeper of the flag hiding frolm their shots

2. The blue team can actually pass the enemy flag over without the need to climb up any bridges at all:

Many maps are unfair, just look at silence for example.

And in many other maps it's possible to climb the cliff and go to the enemy base jumping on the defenders (kungur, just to nominate one).

Furthermore, every map has its pros and its cons. For example in silence the blue base is hard to conquer, but if they do it, will be really hard for the blue team to get it back.

In this map, if from 1 side the blue team is advantaged, from the other side the red team can have a shaft scoping directly the blue base and the flag, doing respawn kills and hindering the defenders.

Hi,

thank you for the reply. The purpose of my post is quite specific to just one [popular] map. Maybe some other players report their findings and suggestions for the other maps as well in some other threads. I'm not suggesting to have all the maps fixed right here and now :-) As for Tribute I'm proposing the following possible fixes:

1. For the hiding place behind the houses either extend the wide rim all the way to the base of the red team (so that they are able to climb it in their safety and then mount an attack on the flag keeper). Or make the houses lower, so that the red team right from its base can blast out the tank sitting there.

2. For the narrow passage allowing the flag handover just eliminate it altogether. This flag handover obviously is against the rules of logic: it's left down below, but then picked up above. I do realise that fixing the logic of the engine may be too difficult however, so why keep this dead end passage good only for cheating on the system? Just leave that solid vertical wall all the way to the bottom.

TIA
