The Other Game Modes

Tanki offers quite a diverse collection of game modes, such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Control Points, and the most popular, Capture the Flag. But, these game modes don’t limit the creativity of our players, in which have invented quite a few other ways to play, and have fun with their friends. Take ideas from the following modes, and try it out with your friends!

Parkour
This has probably been the most played non-killing mode ever since we had its discovery. Parkour is in every way entertaining for everyone, from stacking to getting up onto buildings, and from doing mid air twists to just doing synchronized movements, parkour offers another way for everyone to spend their free time with friends. Here’s a quick guide to what you can do with your friends with the idea of parkour in mind:


Stacking: This way is to get a pile of tanks, one above another, as a tower would be standing. You would need a tank standing below a reachable building, and have fellow tanks jump off the building onto the top of your tank. This requires skill for balancing, and also keeping your tank right side up.

Buildings: There are many maps with a variety of buildings that are situated in the maps. These buildings can be climbed up upon, and easily with the right skills. For example, Combe has 2 buildings on top of the mountains, and with a Dictator, and some skills, you can climb onto a building, and seek map domination. All you need is Ricochet, and a dictator as a ramp. Other maps, such as the classic Silence, Novel, and Noise are just a few of the possible maps that you can climb buildings in. But, my personal favourite is Crash. All you need is a Wasp, Ricochet, a mine, and maybe a little help from friends and you can have all the scenery for yourself!

Mid-air Twists: Ever find yourself stuck on the side of a ramp when going up a steep slope, and fall off after seconds worth of painful struggling? Well, people who parkour do it on purpose! Just find a ramp, grab a rail, and run off a ramp after pressing the fire button. Result? You get midair twists and spins, and if you’re skilled or you’ve done practicing, fall on the right side. Do this with a few friends, and you can have synchronized twists, while shooting each other’s tanks.

Parkour is just one of the many ways for interacting with your friends, and playing your favourite game at the same time. If you’re interested in showing off your skills, just record it as a video, and show it to the Tanki community using Youtube.

Hide and Seek (in Tanki?)


The great variety of maps offer places to hide while in battle, so you have the upper hand to killing your opponents. But, has anyone ever thought of playing Hide and Seek?

It’s a childhood game, and everyone has probably experienced this quite a number of times with friends at playgrounds, during free time, etc. But, it is possible to play on Tanki too, and not just for kids. Using a lighter tank, you can find a map with hiding spots, and have a team hide while one seeks. Abyss is a popular map for this, since there are many ledges on corners of the map for players to hide, and not be found. There is also a secret hiding place, which is also quite well concealed, and can be a great skill test to get to that spot.

Creating Art
Art fans can look right here, cause you can create art in Tanki as well!

Mines:

Little ‘round’ coloured objects that stick to a ground or a surface, and takes off a devastating amount of health from your victim. They do their job, but you can also use them to make shapes, logos, and designs on maps on the battlefield, while your enemy is regrouping, or just for fun. By placing them in specific locations on the ground, or an artist's canvas, they form a picture. That’s what we can call, killing in a beautiful way ;)

Using weapons: Some weapons make holes into buildings when you shoot at one, such as rail, thunder, smoky, and shaft. These holes are temporary, but you can still make some art out of them. Using a rail, you can draw on a slope as a canvas, and create your personal design. Maybe a S.O.S when your health is low, or just a sign to scare of your enemy, it is a great way to show your artistic skills when playing the game!

Conclusion
Those are just 3 ways of how you can entertain yourself on Tanki, without having to see the pressure of actual game play. Try out all of these modes with your friends, as I have, and just relax after a long day of work, or play. Be creative, and think of other ways to play, and share them with the Tanki community on the forum! Thanks for reading!

i have one more game mode (mostly for test server) in my mind...... "FootBall". In this mode a player has wasp m3 and irbis paint. there are two team having hornet m3 and isida m3 both with their particular team paints. the map will be stadium. the player with wasp will be the football. He will run around the map escaping the hornets. the two teams have to kill the wasp. the team which kills more in a fixed time will win.
