Tanki is A Business......

Hi,Everyone,

For some of you who dont understand why tanki sells crystals, tanki is a Business, like wal-mart/target others stores in your town,they Thrive on Buyers, who buy Tanks and Guns from tanki.

The buying keeps tankis servers and Employees and its Company makeing new Advances and Equipment for its coustomers.

If no buyers bought, there would be no tanki to play, advertizing dollars go just so far for costs and running of tanki...as a Business....

They come up with new ways to make money for this,including sales and the 2X card....

This is a great game to play on the internet,along with the CSL games,for all to enjoy...

I hope you in joy these Games as much as I do.......

They should-if they wanna earn more money- make premium accounts and tank, if you pay like 10-25$ a month, you have new hulls cheap and strong, special paints, 30% experience and crystals, and other things like... idk

Exemple: you buy Premium for 30-40€.

You have :

-Weapons and Tanks 15% cheaper

-10 paints only for premium players, with good protection from at least 2 weapons

-30% more crystals income

-50 000 crystals.

No! What makes Tanki unique and fun, unlike other games, is there is no some sort of "premium membership." With this, it would be very unfair!

Or they can develop a secondary currency. . . that may work. Or maybe Premium members may have access to specific maps- but not the ones we have now currently.

A secondary currency (rubies, I think) which can only be bought/earned through 'achievements' (another planned feature) was planned for Tanki 2.0, so it'll eventually be added to the game.

Tanki is a business - and you can bet like all online businesses they monitor their key statistics very carefully. My guess would be that they look at the players who spend and at what rank, and adjust the game accordingly. Right now they are still in "growth mode" : http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=tanki&cmpt=q Over time, that may change, for example, check out the curve for Farmville : http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=farmville&cmpt=q Spike up, and long slow decline. Right now I suspect their approach is to focus on the large number of low-mid ranks (say up to WO5) and ensuring they have a good experience, while being motivated to drop a few $$. Lots of small spenders are better than a few people who drop a lot of money at this stage - I suspect the higher rank players (say 1st Lieutenant and up) contribute a very small %age of the total revenue, as there's not so many of them. (I'm ranked about 120-130,000, which out of 25 million is not very many)

Its the engineering/development costs that kill you; for example, given the Tanki platform is based on Flash, that basically means you can't get any revenue from people who use Apple products. Changing that takes a lot of effort, but if you don't keep tweaking the game you'll loose your existing customers who will get bored.

I think that if they wish to earn more money, effort would be better spent on advertisements on billboards from famous companies, rather than disturbing balance with "premium" content that has destroyed many Facebook-esque games.

I'm pretty sure Advertisements and Billboards on other Company's website would cost more money than adding something like a ''Premium-Tank.''
