step1:take a white background

making metallic text

1:take a background[dark colour],and take a colour which is inbetween the white and the colour you choosing[compulsory]

 

 

2:type anything on the background[borders]and take a brush tool

 

3;now slowly brush the letters [not fully]slightly on up and down your mettalic text is ready[posting pictures soon as a eror occured]

a nice tip...

Who don't really PS very well, just make a new layer and fool around with.....

Try using the "Filter"(You should check out artistic)

Just press every command and see what happen, you may get lucky

Heh. I'm one of the youngest (but not stupid) members in the forum. Currently taking art classes at my school - I'm pretty good, I'd say. I still have about another 6 years or so until I'm 18, maybe then I'll beat you all at Photoshop. :D

 

P.S. - It's important to know how to create an image yourself. Many talented people at Photoshop can't make anything out of basic shapes. They can only manipulate given items, very nicely, I must add, but they may not be able to create their own things.

 

 

Here's a tip. Illustrator is good. Learn it.

Photoshop was originally (and still is) a photo manipulation program. It's not made for creation. That's not to say that plenty of people create masterpieces from scratch using it.

Illustrator on the other hand is made for just that - illustrating. Taking a blank piece of paper and drawing on it. It has a lot more capabilities for... illustrating.

 

Of course if you want to paint, you'd need a graphic tablet, because drawing with a mouse is close to impossible.

I have IE but it is hard to learn, i want to do a avatar body like TRD but  i don't know how
