I'm intrigued to see your opinion. I think, 100%, XP Battles without Supply Drops is much better. Far more fun, and much more skill orientated. It is far too easy to return a flag with a Double Power, especially in a map like Sandbox - and XP battles should be skill-orientated.

But I see so many XP Battles with Supply Drops Enabled. I know we agree, No Supplies and No Micro-Upgrades - but surely No Drops too.

Note: This applies only to Supply Drops, and not Crystal Drops.

Dueling in Sandbox is being ruled by the drops. As soon as 1 of the players has taken a drop, it is almost certain that a capture can be made, or even spawnkills. That pretty much ruins the fun for me, as I am not good in taking drops. That actually makes me don't like dueling.

2 vs 2 with drops is still ruled by drops. If 1 of the teams have a Double Power, and both players attack together, the opponents almost stand no chance (There are always exception).

But, 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 is not being ruled by the drops anymore. Actually, the drops make the game a little more exciting in my opinion. If 2 players of the same team have a Double Power, that excitement is gone quick enough. But if only 1 player has a double power, I don't mind. That is just because if that player still takes too much risk to kill one of the team, he'd be killed by 2 others. So even if you have a double power in 4 vs 4, you need to be careful with your moves.

Actually, the house on 1 side of the map is annoying in my opinion. Sometimes players get behind it, and camp there. I don't really like it, as spawnshots are being made, and that actually ruins the fun, and the skilled gameplay for me, as ''Hide and seek'' is a basic skill with Hornet/Railgun.

With if random and without if clab war cause it is east to cap if you are well organised

If the opponents are well-organized as well, they can stop the attacking team.

I quote the OP. Supplies are just something we should call Luck, like smoky criticals

I would definetally lean towards nothing, because if you have drops, then the game becomes luck match instead of pure skill.

There is a part of luck in there, but if both teams have luck, it is an equal battle, it shouldn't matter then.

Your point stands joost, but the excitement that comes in normal battles when you pick them up, such as a Red Alert NS, makes for a more interesting gameplay and tests the defence more. However, in XP, it can just unbalance things.

I have tried XP battles without and with drops. On the first look I'd say, XP without drops would a be more fair and skilled battle. That's right I think. The 1-shot-1-kills would be banned from it. But, I see an XP battle with drops more as a challenge. Check whether you can make that dude with the DP miss, try to get that player with that DA killed before he killed you. It gives a challenging and exciting part into the game. I don't think many players see it as a challenge, but when you are with it, you can develop shooting at the right time, so your opponents flips, or misses. If you manage to get that skill developed, you'd automatically become better, also without drops (just imagine that your opponent has a DP or DA, so add the challenging sphere) and in duels.

That is my point of view in drops, but yes, sometimes they bother me as well :)

XP is supposed to be skills mode, taking drops is not a skill, it's just lucky for the team who gets more, and in XP we don't need luck to win, just skills, if you really need luck to play XP, just don't.

I prefer without drops. Just skills.

Just skills... Cool. Hide behind a wall and wait until your opponent goes into an open zone where you can shoot him, awesome!
