Tanki is not flawless but can near it!

Tanki Online is one of my most played and favourite games ever. Its generally extremely fun aside the occasional lag and "drug users". I love this game but some things could be done to make it better.

  • My first idea is destructive map parts. Don't you hate Railgun and Shaft campers who camp in places very hard to reach but could get you without sweat. That's infuriating for me. Like in the silence map red side, there's a little pad where you can go up to via a ramp and can camp there easily and pick off easy kills. What if you could destroy it... This will require teamwork as only one type of turret might be able to destroy you so you might have to tell a Railgun to shoot it lets say 5 times and it will get destroyed. That will create more debris which you can use as cover and the camping spot would no longer be accessible. To balance it maybe you could destroy the pipes at the back of the blue team where generally Railguns and Shafts camp. This would inspire different play styles as if you want to camp you would have to be constantly aware of the danger. Another example is the map Highlands where each side has a ton of covers with little peeking spots to shoot, its mostly impossible to get to them, what if you could use thunder and shoot it 10 times at close range to destroy part of the cover to create  a new path. I believe it is possible with the current Tanki engine but if not you can definitely use this in the unity version. It would be truly awesome and impressive!
  • The Pro Battle Pass is not done right! At my rank nearly everyone had bought supplies but there are Tanki players that unfortunately can't afford drugs and therefore their experience is ruined. The Pro Pass should be free as people who want to play battles with no supplies are sometimes people who don't afford drugs. Also non supply matches should be encouraged as they require more skill and are more fair as anyone with supplies can dominate, I personally don't mind dropping supplies so they can be allowed. These matches would make Tanki much more skill based than money based.
  • I love the events the developers do, I try to take part in all contests and take advantage of all sales. The developers have bees extremely awesome this year as they have put up more contests and sales than through the whole last year! Keep up the awesome work. My idea for an event would be double score events - where you earn double the score. That will encourage more people to play and level up as at high ranks, levelling up can be very tedious. This would be really awesome, and I am pretty sure, many others would say the same.
  • Today I was playing with Hornet and Isida in a really good battle. I played so safe that I went on a 38 killing streak before dying. I feel like there should be a way to award you of that type of gameplay. Of course this should be gotten without  using supplies unless picked  up. My idea is double fund for the rest of the battle or double power for 2 minutes or even double score for the next 5 or 10 minutes. These little things can go a long way as people would be encouraged to play different play styles and also it gets extremely hard to stay alive towards the late stages (especially when using Shaft and Railgun) as more and more people want revenge so it definitely does require skill!

I am really happy with the developers and hope they keep doing all these awesome contests and sales and hope they add the double score days. Again, I do love Tanki  and it is awesome but these changes can make it even more fantastic! Hope these ideas  go through and if you don't agree or have another  idea you can post it below! I am sorry, what is that paint again?  :lol: I think spelling of paints are ranking up with the players'.. In second lieutenant, "pridigi" becomes "prodigi" once you reach the rank marshal  :D

I agree with all of these, especially the one about destructive scenery. However, I think they should also develop a more sophisticated visual damage model.  Something like in the promo video when the three tanks shoot one tank and it blows up. Stuff like flying shrapnel on explosion, treads shaking and vibrating when the tank goes over bumps, and identifiable flying pieces and parts such as cog wheels and hatch covers and things like that would be really awesome.

 

I also think that dead tanks should stay for at least a few minutes, to give the game that cutthroat feel (tanks driving over destroyed tanks, that kind of thing).

I agree completely with your first bit but the dead tanks is a no no! I hate them, I want them to be removed completely but that will probably not happen as you have no idea how many times I have been blocked by one and lost a flag or a gold box but detailed destruction - who doesn't want it!

If they are using supplies it is hard to get them. But they are not invincible. It requires team work. Like another camper gets on the spot to shoot him back. But if you have no camper then it is a hard work. Because even if you destroy him, he will always be back on his spot. he will not give up camping there, as long as another shaft won't stand on his way.

I can't agree to this idea. I used to share your idea. But one day I paid 500 cry for pro battle and stayed there around 3-5 games and on each game I made around 700-900 crystals on winning team. And you can't lose a game 5 times one after the other. If you do, then better quit. 500 cry is not that much.

But if you buy pro battle pass for 5000 cry, believe me, you will compensate it 10 times or even more in a month. In pro battles, where no cry drops, funds are extremely higher than normal ones. You will make this 5000 cry within couple of hours. I have bought it but it is unfortunate that there are not much players in my rank who wanna join pro battle. All are high ranks with m3 weapons. I don't want to cause losing any team by joining on their side with my m2 weapons. I would only be a burden for them
The point is, the price for pro battle pass is reasonable. My opinion only

Your opinion is respectable but that's why low ranks don't bother with no supply matches because no one wants to spend crystals on something that should be free. This will help a lot of middle rank players who play legitimately (without supplies).

This would be really cool.  Moveable cover, a team member can sacrifice themselves so people behind them can attack in safety.  Would dramatically alter tactics in unforeseeable ways.

Dude, do you play Tanki. Who would sacrifice themselves. Its a one man drugging army. Only team players I see are Isida and defenders. Also, when you are trying to get away from people, what would you do if a team mate's dead tank blocked your path. It just stops the flow of the game and creates frustration. I personally want dead tanks to be only for 2 seconds as they do add something to the game.
