How to keep your Karma clean ?

The Preamble

Of all the criterion, a person is judged on, Karma is the first, and in this article I will put forward few simple ways to keep your karma clean.

The Definition

Karma in the words of Wikipedia is, “Karma is the executed "deed", "work", "action", or "act", and it is also the "object", the "intent". Halbfass[3] explains karma (Karman) by contrasting it with another Sanskrit word kriya. The word kriya is the activity along with the steps and effort in action, while karma is (1) the executed action as a consequence of that activity, as well as (2) the intention of the actor behind an executed action or a planned action (described by some scholars[16] as metaphysical residue left in the actor). A good action creates good karma, as does good intent. A bad action creates bad karma, as does bad intent" Trying to rephrase, the answer is, “Karma is the action we do, which result in our results". If our actions are good, the result is referred to as "Good Karma". If it turns out bad, well you can find that out.

If you are bugged, by others

If you're bugged by others, in chat while you have a conversation going on with your friend, or are busy working on something, and you're interrupted by an unknown person with a habit of bugging you up or insulting, here are some guidelines, you may find useful :

1. If you're interrupted or disturbed, use  the new option tanki has made specifically for this purpose, the “Ignore” option, which blocks all the messages from a user you have “Ignored”.

2. If you feel that this is not helping you much, you can report a player, by taking a screenshot and posting it to the chat violators section in the forum.

3. If you ever come across, mults or multiple accounts, try avoiding them by using the option (1), they mainly spoil the moods of decent players.

If you are the culprit

If you are in a bad mood, and not ready to chat it would be best to remain silent and think of the good times you've had in tanki or in your life. Never show your anger, keep it to yourself, or it may lead you in to more misery.

Karma, as far as it concerns Tanki, is your ban and warn history. Every ban or warning you have ever received is documented and cataloged. Everyone has the right to converse with other players in Tanki, though the administration reserves the right to revoke this privilege. All that is asked is that players maintain a mature attitude while using the chat or the forum. If you lose in a battle, instead of being insulting and rude, find a more positive outlook and congratulate your opponent on his victory. He is likely to respond in a similar manner. And that can apply to the forum as well, should you disagree with a player on something, there is no need to be hateful, just be patient and open minded to the player's thoughts. I suppose, if you are to walk away from this with only one thought, remember that people tend to respond in a similar fashion to how you act towards them. :)

The best way to keep a karma clean is to not talk much ;)

That would work but it would get a bit boring no?

The only way to keep your karma clean is by following the rules. :P

Yes it is.  ;)

It is a bit boring, you can talk with your friends, talking nicely with friends and others won't get you ban, but when there is an argument, do not get involved. When someone troll/insult you, do not insult them back, insulting/trolling back won't help ;) the better thing is just report them in violators section :)

It's same, with forum rules. Simple maths:

Talking much more on forum=Posting much

Posting much=Flooding

Flooding=More short posts posts like "lol" "ok" ":)" and other useless posts created only to make your post count bigger

Last one=Better chances for a ban

Conclusion:

To gain bad karma, you need to:

-Flood

-Spam

-Get banned

-Ruin topics ("bump" <_<)

And more.

Also, have you ever seen mod flooding? Or, have you ever seen flooder to become a mod? That's point. (#2 conclusion), bonus bad karma while sending request for mod is flood and spam atributes.

To make your karma clean, be active, but don't make dumb posts :)

To make your karma clean, NEVER ruin xp's or contests.
