Normally a gold box just drops from the sky

but how about making it interesting by adding an animation of plane dropping ?

the jet will be just a part of the sky box and after dropping the gold box it will just fly away

like dropping paratroopers

since its just sky box the jet cannot be shot down by tanks

How is the idea ?

Nice idea, but like all visual additions this one is likely to increase server lag, so I'm not sure if I want to sacrifice ping and FPS for a plane animation...

Then the animation should also apply to supply drops.

Supplies are nothing when compared to Gold Box

See , Devs can replace a static skybox with a dynamic skybox

A little increase in Ping would not be that disasterous as long u can catch the gold box

Maybe not greatly, but there will be negative effect which I'm don't want to have if it's in favour of a useless animation.

You Mean that doesn't have any effect? It Can Make you miss a gold box-

besides , the huge SD zones also increase lag right ?

(edit) Maybe if we can toggle it off or on.

But I want to keep the skybox, and DISABLE this feature at the same time.

 

Though really I think this idea is unnecessary. Lol.

Just keep it in the boundary of tanks.

its not for finding it

it is such improving the skybox

a little lag doesnot effect anyone

i repeat it doesnot effect anyone

a little animation will not do anything bad

Not sure about you, but "small" lag may be the exact cause of either dying to, or dodging a Railgun/Shaft shot, etc. etc.

Could be if you flip, or not flip. It can apply to all aspects of battle. Lag makes difference. . .

Well I guess unless you're a crazy hard-core drugger. But not everyone is.

 

Lag can mess up key strategies/tactics. Such as a feign tactic, etc.

Lag is going to get you killed, or make you lose out on rare opportunities to make big plays in a game.

 

Lag can also affect my aiming, when I am turning my turret.

Small lag, can affect it as well. Aiming is crucial when it comes to versing things like enemy in ranged combat.

 

Furthermore, it may be true that we have gotten updates such as Dynamic Lighting to boost "appearance," but keep in mind that you can still turn it off, and it is still in boundaries with the theme of tanks. Jets may be creative and related to warfare, but I don't want to turn off the awesome skybox just because of a dumb plane.

But a jet. . .just for the gold box. . . . . .

Though I think it will still bring lag.

It is guaranteed that it will bring lag, but only for the time Gold box is present.

 

But it would also make the Gold box even MORE obvious. -.-

That may be a bad side affect, no?

But anyways, don't you think it'll make Goldboxes even more obvious?

Sometimes I like a good "hunt." And it can give players more competition. That way not all Titans/Dictators know exactly where to go .They still have to hunt for the mark.

because the jet will come fast and go fast

Oh, so the Jet won't be parked above the mark for the whole 20-30 seconds?

It'll just arrive in 1 second, and leave ASAP? A really quick animation that not many will see. . . .Eh. . .Don't see the need for this .. . No point.

But as Metalcrusher said, it's best for Unity then.
