Let’s discuss updated rank limits for higher ranks

Tankers!

We have decreased the rank limits for players of higher ranks. Previously, a Warrant Officer with M1 equipment could easily end up in a battle with Generalissimos on M3 turrets and hulls. This was undesirable for both parties. The former had practically no chance of winning, while latter were unhappy with lower rank tankers being unable to affect the outcome of a battle. Now, irrespective of the rank, players will be facing opponents of the same weight category.

We can play with ranks of ours.I mean same ranks.Helps a lot.

 

Would be a shame to see a m0 fighting with m4 wouldn't it ?

Wow, another bad idea! If I create a Polygon CP, it can only be played by Lieutenant Genral or higher. So only the last 6 ranks can join loool.

 

At least make it Majot to Generalissimo.

Don't like this update. The player has a choice if he/she wants to join of not.

 

Wow only Major-Generalissimo, what if you have low ranked friends? Some do.

I personally dislike this part. I think in pro battles you should be able to make games for any (reasonable) rank limit. Because if I have a friend that is a Third Lieutenant, I no longer can play with him easily. Food for thought.

I agree about PRO battles, but the rules should be different, i.e. killing a recruit 20 times should be equivalent to killing a generalissimo 1 time, so the score needs to be updated. The fact that they have different weights in the battle fund is irrelevant, because your share of the battle fund depends on your score (which is rank-agnostic) and the score of the game, which is also rank-agnostic.

 

I think health points should be considered too. Killing a mammoth is much harder than killing a wasp, so they should be scored accordingly.

 

In general, this is a good update. I see battles that have generalissimos, and I have to click and ignore them. Now, I don't see them anymore in my list. Though, I would have preferred listing the rank in the battle list and or providing a rank filtering capability or search capability to the battle list.
