Increase Protection, Restore Balance

We have had a 20% increase in turrets in this game, meaning we go from 9 to 11 ways to be destroyed and yet we still only have 3 or 4 protections for the decent paints. If tanki aren't careful then they will soon find player retention to be an issue. Sure it is all very good to introduce new turrets but if the game feels unbalanced, and it certainly does to many of us, then tanki must act sooner rather than later.

 

I think it is time for tanki to start altering some of the good paints.

eg, Clay could benefit from a 5% base protection against another turret, MU to 10%

Clay was previously susceptible to 6 turrets, now that figure has risen to 8 which is a 33% increase in vulnerability.

 

We are being destroyed even faster than before which kind of takes the fun out of the game.

 

Adding more paints with only 3 or 4 protections to accommodate the new guns does not fix this.

Adding to existing paints might go some way to restore some balance and help retain players that are thinking of leaving.

 

It's up to you if you want to take this on board or you can dismiss this suggestion.

Alternative suggestions welcome.

They did add more paints for Generalissimos that have protection against more Turrets: Let's Discuss new paints!

 

However, I do agree the maybe a very small amount of protection could be added to existing paints, but too much would make those certain paints be OP, while the rest of them aren't used often.

 

Remember, the Developers do want balance in the game. ;)

I'm not concerned with adding addition protection just for my rank. I'm more concerned with the lack of balance we are currently experiencing since the introduction of 2 more turrets.

 

My example was Clay.

Before it was susceptible to 6 turrets, now it is susceptible to 8 which is a 33% increase in vulnerability.

I don't think it is feasible. Top paints offer huge protection from some turrets. If they increase number of turrets it will only cause decrease in amount of protection. That is why buying paints with protection from 4 turrets is useless unless you have a heap of crystals to micro upgrade.

If you see different turrets than what your paint gives protection from, well, that's why changing equipment was introduced.
