Happy Pakistan Day!

Recommended Posts

From 22nd to 24th March 1940, a resolution was proposed by Muslim League under the guidance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which was passed on 23rd March 1940 and it approved the formation of a new Islamic republic named as 'Pakistan'. To commemorate that day, 23rd March is celebrated every year as the Pakistan day یوم پاکستان, (also known as Pakistan Resolution Day and Republic Day).

Happy Pakistan Day!

Proud to be a Pakistani! Long live Pakistan!

Everything is explained in the main post. It was basically a plan, which lead to independence. You can read more about it here and here.

No, that is Pakistan Independence Day, celebrated at 14th August when it was declared a separate country in 14th August, 1947.

Thank you for educating me further on this matter, BlitzPanzer12345....Thinking the establishment of the independent federation was what the celebration was about, I assumed it was an independence celebration. Your never to old to learn new things. Happy celebration to everyone. :)

March 23 is Pakistan Resolution Day! Not to be confused with Independence Day, which is on August 14th. Happy Pakistan Day!  :)
