Death Match Politics

Hello players!

As I said, I am making a guide nowadays, which is made from 4 different parts.

I’ve released one of them already!  Now, I’ve decided to post the second part of this guide.

This guide is about DM and player behaviors on DM. Before that, other related links:

Especially please read the "camping" guide first.

Please write what you know, and add something if you want to add or change.

What is DM?

Death Match is a battle mode which there is not any official team, and players get score with how many they kill. Everyone gets his score individual, not related to any team. On this mode, all players

crystal/score rate is different and gets smaller from first player to last player. As you know, every teammates crystal/score rate is the same in a team game.

No official team doesn’t mean everyone attacks to everyone everytine. Players decide when, how and who to attack and try to do this. They think that they can get more score with this way.

This situation is effected by:

1. Players use different equipments, this encourage players to attack or not to attack some players. Also, this cause to avoid or not to avoid some players and some situations.

2. Players have different skill levels, equip powers, drugs etc… This cause efficient difference between players, this also effects desicions.

3. Some players prefer different playing styles even with the same equipment.

Campers, kill steakers, middlefielders or chasing players etc…

As a result, players can do some different actions:

1. They can attack to a player. While doing that, they can also avoid from the player.(Duel)

2. They can attack to a player, but they may prefer not to avoid…(Rush)

3. They can also try to attack a player continuously, avoiding or not…(courage)

4. They may not attack, and they may avoid…(avoiding)

5. They may not attack, and they may not avoid.(peace agreement)

6. They may not attack, not only they may not avoid, but also they may help themselves.(team)

7. They may avoid also an area or a situation. (camper or not, related to all other types of actions)

8. They may prefer to enter an area or a situation. (camper or not, related to all other types of actions)

I couldn’t find any more, if you can please add!

Duel

A small duel between players… Players both try to attack and avoiding attacks. Today, our topic is not about this, so I will just say one point: While doing this, try to pull your opponent to a uncrowded area, so you can prevent any KS(kill steak, there is a guide about this, please check on the links), or you can prefer to pull the opponent to a crowded area if you feel you can’t win this duel.

Rush

One of the players is too strong, or his equipment is suitable for this(twins, firebird etc…)

This also cause “courage” and “avoiding”

If you don’t want to face a situation like that, becareful while moving, and stay away from short rangers.

Avoiding

Players prefer to avoid from a player, because this target is so strong to fight.

Don’t attack a player ıf you can’t kill. Also, don’t attack a player too much if you don’t want to face a

“courage” situation.

Lets explain other topics detailed!

I will explain about teams, peace agreements, courage and a bit avoiding.

How Do Teaming And Peace Agreement Work?

Do you want to make teams, and do peace agreements? You are on the right place!

If you want to get help, or just don’t want to get attacked by a player, you do them.

This helps you to keep your position, prevent you to waste energy and time, and kill strong opponents. This even can help you to eliminate a strong opponent(needs couraging)

However, when you make a team or peace agreement, you lose your one target.

But how to do? First of all, you should understand “attractive” and “repulsive” players.

Attractive players can easily make teams and peace agreements than other players.

This attidute can change with players opinions.

1.“Gun Brothers”, players who use the same gun with you.

Also, using a paint against this gun will help you get a teammate a lot ;)

2. Players from similar or the same playing style.

3. Players from the same race, country or language.

4. Strong players who you can’t eliminate enough, or takes too much energy and time to fight.

5. Players who you have to use the same camp point, so making a deal is profitable.

6. And of course, players who you summoned  :)

In addition to this list, sometimes players who are not able to play pro-battle prefers normal battles to try something, this players play together against strangers.

Repulsive players can be easily couraged. This attidute can change with players opinions.

1. "Hull enemies", players who is especially effective against your hull.

For example: Shaft against light hulls, freeze and twins against heavy hulls.

2. Players have paint against you(unless he use the same gun with you.)

3. Players from different playing styles.

4. Strong players, but you can eliminate them if you try.

5. Campers who can kill you easily if you try to camp on his camp area.

6. A rare situation: Gun haters

Players who hate your gun

7. Players who have a bad past with you

8. Damaged players to make KS(please check "kill steak" guide)

A player who is attractive for you may be repulsive for another player, or opposite.

How to make team?

A player who wants to make team with you will prefer 2 ways to explain itself:

1. He will try to chat with you.

2. He will come to near of you, then won't shot.

Then, should you accept or not? Actually, too easy to decide...

You lose one arget to kill, but you won't need to spend energy or time to kill him. You will not be able to prevent him, but he won't prevent you. You will be able to kill stronger opponents, but you may have to share drops. If you think this is beneficial to do, then do.

My suggestion is that, don't make team with hulls which you can easily kill, other weak players and campers who you can easily get rid of. Never make a team more than 2 players.

Then, play as a team! :) You know already from team games.

How to courage?

A player who wants to courage with you will prefer 2 ways to explain itself:

1. He will curse on the chat, or threat you.

2. He will especially try to kill you.

If you want to face this player, do then. But this may prevent you to get high score. Then:

1. You can avoid.

2. You can change equipment to which he can't fight against you, or drug.

3. You can act just like him to deter from his behavior. This way usually escelate the situation.

4. You can try to make a peace agreement on chat( very little chance)

Avoiding is simple, and has litttle chance to give better results on a long time duration.

Changing equipment usually works, but may put you to another courage situation.

I really don't know how can you make an agreement on chat.

For 3. rule, you may prefer some " harassment guns".

For 2. rule, you may prefer some " anti-harassment guns".

Harassment guns are great for annoying people, but also these guns are usually easily annoyed.

Because these guns have great abilities and disadvantages.

Despite to them, anti-harassment guns are hardly annoyed because they have limited disadvantage. Even if they are annoyed, this is hard to eliminate them.

Harassment Guns:

Shaft(before the laser update, shaft was "the most annoying gun", according to surveys)

Railgun(also hardly annoyed, but pretty hard to use in a DM)

Isida(self heal)

Freeze(freeze :) )

Anti Harassment Guns:

Thunder

Smoky

Ricochet

You can annoy or be annoyed by any gun.

But the best is not going to courage. You should follow a simple rule, and hope that no one will annoy you because you are a good player:

Don't kill the same player continuously.

With the rest of the guide, we should also talk about another point: gun haters and gun brothers.

There are 2 types of gun haters:

1.Fake Gun Hater

A fake gun hater especially kills some turret users on purpose and continuously, but the reason is these gun users are too dangerous for his missions and a problem for him.

These players usually tries to eliminate campers and KS players.

2.Real Gun Hater

A real gun hater plays like a fake gun hater. However, he does this because he hates your gun.

You can understand the difference between these 2 types of players, unless the player is actually both:

1. A real gun hater may insult and curse on chat, a fake not.

2. A real gun hater is more determined than a fake, tries to prevent you even this is harmful for him. A fake just cares his mission.

3.There is just one way to get rid of a real hater: change the gun.

If you face a fake, play on your way; this is a normal problem or being a DM player. You'he already seen this situation on every DM.

If you face a real one:

1. Never fight on chat

2. If you don't want to change the gun, you should be ready to continuous attacks.

This may be or not, some haters doesn't act like a hater.

What you should do from your normal playing style is avoiding from hid playing area and style, then try to force him to give up if you can with your power and skill.

While doing that, you shouldn't lose oppurtunities. You can still can kill even if he shoots you.

3. Be a team with your gun brothers, this will help you a lot.

4. If you can't be team with anyone on the battle, summon friends.

5. I recommend you to not quit. But you can...

I think I've written everythink I should, but I am sure there is something which I couldn't write there, please add if you have something to write. :)

By the way, don't forget to read other guides! :)
