Starladder Format Battle

Hello Tankers.

Recently I ran into a couple of players who were trying to organize a Starladder type game on Sandbox, but the other players refused, (mostly because they were killing us with their Hammer/Viking, Dictator/Thunder, and Vulcan/Mammoth combos. (The fourth person was a Mult))

Therefore today I am bringing to you a new idea for format battles.

 

The Starladder Format.

 

This will be a format for Starladder Games and people/clans who want to fight according to the rules of Starladder.

A pre-existing team/clan and Skype are highly recommended.

 

The option will only be available on the following maps.

          Barda

          Bridges

          Forest

          Kunger

          Parma

          Red Alert

          Sandbox

          Tribute

 

Turrets:

          5 Railgun

          1 Smoky on light hull only. (If critical hits could be disabled that would be great.)

 

Hulls:

          Wasp

          Hornet

          Hunter

          Viking

 

Paints:

          Digital

          Tundra

          Forester

          Clay

          Prodigi

          Black

          Dirty

          Storm

          Carbon

          Needle

          Picasso

          Not Savanna

          And any paint that does not have Railgun or Smoky protection.

 

Game Format:

          CTF No flag limit

          No Health Boxes

          No Micro-Upgrades

          12 Minutes. 2 to prepare. 10 to fight.

 

Format for Sandbox:

          4 v 4

          CTF 5 Flags

          No Micro-Upgrades

          No Health Boxes

          Game starts once everyone has spawned in and/or team consent.

          (No Viking?

 

Other parameters that might be able to be worked out.

 

Maximum of 100% protection from Railgun over the entire team. I am not sure if this will work. It would be too hard to join the battle if the game tried to run an equipment test on your tank as you tried to join.

 

When you try to join one of these battles a window will appear with a warning.

“This takes commitment.

One person less on a team and the game is lost.

Don’t join if you haven’t heard of Star Series or watched Star Series games.

Skype is highly recommended.

This is a battle for professionals.

No Health Boxes.

No Supplies.

Precision is crucial.”

 

(Remember, this is an idea. Not everything I mention here should be implemented if the Devs think it is unnecessary.)

 

After that window another one will appear with a selection of equipment that is allowed in the battle.

You will be able to choose what combination of Hull/Turret/Paint you will use.

For example, there are 5 players on the team with a total of 5 Railguns, 2 Hunters, 1 Hornet, 1 Wasp and 60% protection from Railgun.

In the window will be the options: Wasp, Hornet, Smoky, Railgun, (A bad choice), and any paint that does not put the team over 100% protection from Railgun.

This will allow the person to enter the game with the correct equipment.

Only qualified equipment that the player owns will be available.

If the player does not own the correct equipment they will be directed to buy it or to a page that teaches them about Starladder.

Here's another option.

You buy a PRO Battle Pass and when you click on the PRO Battle option when creating a battle, it will have a link to another server dedicated to people who want to play Starladder Format Battles.

No matter what your rank you would be Generalissimo on this server.

All experience and score earned would not be transferred over to your other account. (This is to deter people from going there just to play with M3 equipment. If you love the game score and crystals won't matter. Am I right?)

Basically the ESports Server but open for anyone who wants to play like the Pros.

It would only function like XP or XP/BP format.

Restricting the equipment allowed so people can play like the Teams in Starladder.
