Volume 1: Essence

Greetings, readers of the newspaper. Today, I'd like to start a poetry series that explores different aspects of the game. The way in which the poems are formatted are based on the previous works of writers who have passed away. I call it "Covertry", where the poetry is rewritten to make totally different points of discussion come to life and be expressed in a poetic way, yet not in a covertly; public domain works are used.  The originals and their authors will be cited so you can explore them yourself. I call this first collection of poems "Essence."

Based on To a Star by W. M. MacKeracher.

To a Map

Damp and dauntless and doomed

Is the Tanki of life to me,

With nothing but Sandbox in the servers,

Brutally shadowing the others,

Whose potential we have yet to see.

While trends arrive and slowly dissipate

In an unsuspecting manner

While we try and try, again and again

To recreate what had once been

And rise with firm fist to hammer

Why? The dampened fields, plenty a planted,

Doom what is left of the others!

Why? The horror, agonizing defeat

So many quieted in the back seat

All to be betrayed by their close brothers

Why? When will those prominent be let die?

And let light be shined on the forgotten?

Why? When to which they will be awake, to

Capture our time and hearts, to bone and through

And venture paths not normally taken.

Based on Bright Moon by Thomas Moore

Popular Silence

Popular Silence, that rules the hall,

All charm, as it twas too good to be true.

Think thy own Figishe would be proud at all?

And thou wouldst not disappoint with thy new.

By all the glam with thy renovations,

By all those years of being played all day,

Which be far from normal constellations.

Behold, this sound, which does not fit display.

I hope thee, developers of the maps,

Clench not to the populous arenas.

So profnaz's Future prevents collapse

Beneath the only bridges we've known as.

Work on the others, work on the ignored.

Ere thou, dear Silence, emit your droning,

We can revive those we had once adored!

As the bridges will go without warning.

Based on How To Make A Man Of Consequence by Mark Lemon

How To Make A Map Of Prevalence

A simple layout, circumstantial eye.

A last resort when the battles run dry;

A pleasant play, a thoughtless waste of time,

A mind dampened, and a curt type of crime,

A spiteful smile, its a devious stare:

Adopt all of these, take the unaware;

Then we'll be assured that they're of no sense

Will surely make a map of prevalence.

Thank you for making it through the first volume of TO Covertry..

Let me know what you thought of this and the poems. I'll see you next time.

A slumber did my spirit seal---william wordsworth

A slumber did my hunter shot

I had no shaft fears:
it seemed a tank that could not move
Due to the  touch of freeze for matches

No motion has she now, but force;
She has been dipped into light blue paint

as a blue living statue  in polygon's diurnal course,

With a flag, and twins and fire bird surrounding her

-originally by william wordsworth but changed by me{suhaas027]
