International Birdman competition

 

 

 

 

 

Flying enthusiasts and people wearing silly costumes gathered on the south coast for the annual Worthing International Birdman competition. Many flyers take part to raise money for charities but others design complex machines with the aim of bagging the distance prizes.

Granddad claims UFO was chasing him when he crashed during nighttime bike ride

 

 

 

 

Francisco Acosta Tostado, 68, says he crashed his bicycle into bushes as he tried to flee the craft as it pursued him from overhead.

Mr Tostado told authorities he was riding his bike on a highway in the city of Paso de Ovejas in Veracruz, Mexico, when the UFO flew so close to him that it knocked him off his bike.

 

He told officials that he believed "aliens in the craft had been trying to kidnap" him.

 

Mr Tostado was spotted lying by the road by car mechanic Policarpio Carvajal who said he alerted emergency services.

 

The pensioner was reportedly 'out of his mind' when police arrived at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital.

He is now too scared to venture outside for fear of the UFO returning.

Shocking and exclusive!

Dr Alexander Koltypin, a leading geologist in his home country, claims that mysterious groove-like markings in the Phrygian Valley of central Turkey were artificially made by all-terrain vehicles and NOT created by any natural process.

 

The scientist, a director of the Natural Science Scientific Research Centre at Moscow's International Independent University of Ecology and Politology, has just returned from a field trip to the site in Anatolia with three colleagues. 

 

He described the markings as "petrified tracking ruts in rocky tuffaceous deposits" made from compacted volcanic ash. He said: "We can suppose that ancient vehicles on wheels were drove on soft soil, maybe a wet surface.

 

"Because of their weight the ruts were so deep.

"And later these ruts - and all the surface around - just petrified and secured all the evidence. 

"Such cases are well known to geologists, for example, the footprints of dinosaurs were 'naturally preserved' in a similar way."

 

Describing what could have made such tracks, he added: "All these rocky fields were covered with the ruts left some millions of years ago... we are not talking about human beings." "We are dealing with some kind of cars or all-terrain vehicles. "The pairs of ruts are crossing each other from time to time and some ruts are more deep than the others."

 

According to Dr Koltypin's observations, "the view of the ruts does not leave any doubt that they are ancient, in some places the surface suffered from weathering, cracks are seen here". The age of the ruts is between 12 and 14 million years old, the academic believes. "The methodology of specifying the age of volcanic rocks is very well studied and worked out," he said.  "As a geologist, I can certainly tell you that unknown antediluvian all-terrain vehicles drove around Central Turkey some 12-to-14 million years ago."

 

Dr Koltypin claimed archeologists "avoid touching this matter" because it will "ruin all their classic theories".
