“Can you show a picture of it?” Peter said to the medium sized robot. A photo came along, showing it as a mere diamond, with a square carved on it.

 

Emily Richards, another participant of the battle and a pretty close friend of Victoria, stared at the photo. Then she looked at Peter, then at Victoria. She finally said, “That little diamond there, was created by my cousins, twins Jack and Alexandra Canoire Vandiva, also known as the Night Twins! That means either they’re working with Dave or they’ve been robbed. Both scenarios are, well, bad.”

 

“Wait. I have a little thing in my mind. Dave went from London to Lahore, but didn’t land and instead went to Los Angeles. Won’t that arouse suspicion? And why would he want to arouse suspicion in the first place?” Peter said, rather puzzled.

 

“Hunter, can you pilot the plane for me for some time? And Peter, check these,” Tom said, handing Peter four laptops. They contained camera footage - Tom had planted them on Dave’s plane. At first it was pretty normal, but later, one camera showed another plane approaching Dave’s. He and Terrortron jumped onto the plane, but had smokescreened it earlier. The second plane reversed and then attacked the team’s, but they missed and the tailed plane was hit. It came crashing down near the airport in Lahore, as the attacker fled away to Los Angeles.

 

“Wait, what? Dave had his own plane crashed straight into an airport? I suppose that was a trick to distract everyone from the real problem by creating a second and seemingly major problem for people to solve. We do know the truth, so it’s time to follow the plane to Los Angeles,” Stephen said.

“Hello, Jack and Alexa. You do know who we are, right?” Peter said to the twins, but was interrupted by Jack.

 

“You’re Peter, you’re Stephen, you’re Victoria. You three are siblings. Then, I don’t even need to say who Emily is, and that other guy is Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Tanner, and you’re all from an international team of investigation. And you’re here to find out about the theft of our precious Square Diamonds, right? You’re after renowned physicist and computer engineer David Terrortron for acts of terror, right? Oh wait, we got an attack. Defend the house!”

 

Jack was right at the end. They had to defend because Square Diamond prototypes were still in the house. They all spread outside, facing an army attacking them.

 

“Uh oh. Dave’s already weaponized those diamonds. Time to bring the prototypes in the battle,” Alexandra said, and went back in. Meanwhile, Peter knocked out a few of them, and took the guns. Everyone took one, and they started shooting their opponents. Steve shot one of the diamonds, striked it at an enemy’s gun and had it bouncing towards others. It bounced to another gun, made it fire at more enemies, and killed several of them. Victoria and the rest had car-like tanks, and Victoria drove hers straight into the army, striked a diamond onto a gun, and made it fire on the tank. It bounced back to other enemies, killing each. Emily sneaked her tank to the sides, and then fired a diamond sword straight onto the army. It killed numerous of them, and then she spinned her tank, jumped out and used another sword to kill yet more of the army. It was then that they realized they had been destroying robots, and Emily took hold of one, disabled it and then checked his computer.

“Uh oh. That means we’ve been distracted the entire time,” she said.
