Off-topic section contains irrelevant topics

I took this simple screenshot of the pinned threads in the 'Off-Topic Discussion' and wrote on it yesterday morning talking about the pinned threads.

As you can see, these threads do not belong in the section! They would fit the 'Game Discussion' area better than this section. How they got pinned without being moved I have no idea, but these are only the pinned threads! There are many more non-pinned topics in this section that also do not belong there. Because of this we are losing a 'Off-Topic' section and the 'Game Discussion' section is slowly dieing. With how strict the moderation is in its current form, how has this been overlooked?

 

Can we get some staff to look into topic/section organization? This is clearly not working!

Well, I agree that they should be moved to Game Discussion,...Even I have thought so many-a-times...but I always realize one thing "conventions"...Now everyone has got used to it....and suddenly if it's ever moved to any other section, then many players might get disappointed...Wouldn't you agree to this?

I agree that some of the rules in Off-topic section are quite strange, and some of the topics don't belong there. I remember that we were cleaning the Game Discussion section to remove unnecessary pinned topics, and TWR was one of the topics moved out of there. Why we decided that it belonged in Off-topic, I honestly have no idea :D  We might just move it back.

 

The rule about only Tanki-related videos being posted in VotD will probably be removed, since the topic is like PotD and PotD can contain any type of images, so it makes sense that VotD should be the same. The dictionary topic isn't really about the game itels, so it can stay, while the Generalissimo Hall doesn't really belong in either section, so we might as well keep it there.

'Generalissimo' is a rank in this game, and is therefor related to (the game) Tanki Online.

 

I don't see how it couldn't be related to the game?

 

 

Also, this extends far past just the pinned topics, there are normal topics in the section too that don't belong there.

It's not the irrelevant information in Off-Topic, it's the fact that the Game Discussion is a ghost town because of this, no new recent topics and every time I click I see the same things. Mostly because there are topics about a very broad category for everything and also all the game-related topics end up in Off-Topic somehow.
