Twisted Night

By Blackdrakon30

The raven crowed

My head slowly rose

A ghost of a thought

Floated over my bed

However, it was naught

Just bare bones of what I sought

After all,

Trick or Treat!

Please give me something sweet!
It finally is that Halloween Day!

Goblins thieve my brainwaves

Bringing school ideas to their graves

Oh how I wish I could concentrate on stuff

But my head’s full o' Halloween fluff!

Candy Corn

Deaths to mourn

A day of death a day of life

A day to forget the worries and your strife

After all,

Trick or Treat!

Please give me something sweet!

It finally is that Halloween Day!

Chocolate Bars

Under stars

Parading through the night

Spreading an aura of fright

Trick or Treat

That house

Down the street

That’s the home of the elite

They have the best

Candy filled chest

Let’s head their way

Let us prey

On expensive sugar

After all,

Trick or Treat!

Please give me something Sweet!

It finally is that Halloween Day!

If we don’t get what we want

We’ll go and start to taunt

And on return, you’ll  find your home

Covered completely in eggs, spray paint and foam!

Sure it's breaking rules

But tonight’s a night for ghouls

They’ll never catch us

Among the witches and cats

Don’t fuss

Just fly with the bats

Be free

Look at me

We are having lots of fun

Sure the night is almost done

But we still have some time left.

Make your move

Go and prove

That you're brave to all your friends

Go into that haunted house

Where that one man killed his spouse

Climb the steps

Hear them creak

I think I need to take a leak

This might be too much fright

For me in a single night

I hear a whine

A rattling pipe

I need to turn off my mind

I’m not the scaredy type

But this is really creepy

The door slams behind me

This is too stereotypical

I hear a moan

And slamming on the walls

But I must show I have the balls

To make it out alive

There’s a door

Out the back

A little more

And I’m out of the shack

But then a shriek is heard

And my sight is shortly blurred

But I soon can see again

And see a woman

Standing at the floor

Outside the door

Her nightgown white and torn

And she gives a seductive stare

A rose with a thorn

And a face absurdly fair

She stood up and hugged me tight

And then I felt the bite

On the neck

I hit the deck

And she loomed over me

Oh why did I leave my room

This Halloween night

Now I’ve met my doom

To this Halloween wight.

That’s when I noticed

That my wound was actually just fine

And the woman's’ fangs didn’t shine

She yanked the off the fakes

And had a long laugh

People ran out with cakes

After all,

My birthday’s on Halloween!

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat!

Give me something sweet!

Skeletons and vampires run around

Filling air with spooky sound

I’m happy I’m alive

Even though there was no real danger

I’m glad she wasn’t a crazy stranger

So that my life wasn’t cut short

On this evening of the Devil

That brought fear up another level

This Halloween night.

The sun is slowly  rising

And my head is drifting down

That was a thrilling Halloween time.

No, my birthday isn't actually on Halloween, :P  The character's birthday is on Halloween. I wrote this poem for a contest in a chat room, I hope you all like it. It's a bit delayed in posting since I tried to include a spooky scary image of some jack-o-lanterns, but my BBCode got messed up and my images were the wrong sizes. Anyways, you can just imagine spooky scary jack-o-lanterns. Happy Halloween everyone! (Even though I don't celebrate it myself)  ;)
