Hi all,

We've just overhauled the Video Makers section. The idea is to encourage even more video creativity and open the doors to anyone who wishes to contribute, provided his/her videos are of sufficiently good quality, and the production is regular and consistent.

Rules for the Video Makers section

Here's what you need to know:

  1. From now on, anyone can have a thread in the Video Makers forum. However, the forum is in pre-approval mode. When you post your thread with your first video, a moderator will review it, and if your video is good enough, your thread will be approved.
  2. Once your thread has been approved, you will need to produce and post at least one good quality video every 3 months. If you do not respect this deadline, your thread will be locked and archived. Exceptions may be made, but each case will be dealt with on an individual basis.
  3. Your thread will be your portfolio. People will be allowed to comment on your work and offer constructive criticism on it. As in any area of the forum, rudeness and disrespect will not be tolerated.
  4. Besides player portfolio threads, you will also find a thread called "The Creative Video Discussion Thread" where you may discuss video-related creativity topics (please stick to video creativity topics; other types of creative work have their own dedicated forum section). In this thread, you are not allowed to advertise your work. Additionally, any posts that are not creativity-related will be removed.
  5. You may not advertise any of your videos anywhere on Tanki, including chat, forum and official social media. Any such advertising will be considered spam and will be deleted. Repeat offences will lead to your thread being closed.
  6. Players are not allowed to have more than one topic in this section. Each player can have only one topic.
  7. It is permissible to upload non-Tanki-related content, but posting it on your thread is prohibited. Any other content on your YouTube channel MUST be appropriate for all ages.
  8. Do not post channel links. You need to post a proper video and a brief explanation of what the video is about.
  9. If you don't create videos regularly and only make one-offs, you can post your videos in the One-off Videos thread.

So, we look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

IMPORTANT: To share your video in the thread, make sure you follow these instructions.

Format of your topic in the Video Makers section

To make sure everything is clean and organized, we have a special template prepared for you to follow.

Here's everything your topic should include:

  1. Banner or a profile picture at the very top of your topic
  2. Basic description of what your topic/YouTube channel is about
  3. Your latest upload or a list of your most recent videos
  4. (Optional) Contact information (for example: Discord)
