Hi everyone and welcome to my first article in AWC. Today I'll be giving my feedback and comments on different updates in tanki. There are lots of updates but I'll be mentioning only important and my favorite ones (Yes I am selfish). That's enough for the introduction nugs, but it is not finished yet. Warning! Please note that the following updates that I am going to mention here are from 2014's December till now. Let's begin!

2014:

Night mode for maps and laser scope for Shaft:

The first time night mode was introduced (along with laser for Shaft's scope) was on the 4th of December. I would say that it was a great thing that developers did. Afterward, it's more fun to play Tanki with night theme which is a feature present in many other games.

Laser scope for the shaft? Seriously? That's not very nice because a Shaft user can never hide from the enemy like this. We must have an option or something to remove and add the laser to Shaft's scope or we should have something, like an alteration, to buy a scope with special damage and without a laser. Good update, though.

New Hammer Turret (noob Turret):

Just kidding, Hammer's not a noob (Because it's the noobest Turret  :ph34r:) turret because it's one of my favorites and I have finished first in many battles thanks to Hammer. It's just like a shotgun and while playing with the Hammer I feel like I'm using my shotgun (The one in Call of duty games  B)). So it means its a great noob Turret. Hammer is overpowered, especially at m1 ranks but I haven't experienced it at higher ranks yet. The Paints with Hammer's protection were introduced on the 30th of January. More Paints were introduced on the 6th of February 2015.

2015:

New Vulcan Turret (Noobest Turret ever):

For this one, I got not much to say. I haven't tested its m0 version yet and won't be testing it until m3 ranks. From the experience of getting killed by Vulcan user, I'll say that it's a fine Turret and it totally feels like a rampaging machine gun. By the way, the paints with Vulcan's protection were also introduced on 6th February.

Increased battle funds for lower ranks:

Battle funds were increased for lower ranks on 3rd March. Thank you, developers, now I can earn more as compared to past users who wasted so much of their time at nothing. It means that when you kill an enemy in a battle, the fund will increase more as compared to the past.

Daily Missions:

Yep, that's right, daily missions were finally in the game on the 14th of July. I think developers did this to make it fair for buyers and non-buyers but still, I think three missions are not enough (Five would be better). Later many updates were introduced for daily missions. The best one was the 50% decrease in the price of changing a mission and changing one mission every day for free. The "Earn experience on a selected map" mission was removed eventually because players can't create battles without pro pass and sometimes the map you want to play in is not there in the battles list. What's left in missions? Catch Supply Boxes, Earn Experience in Battles, Capture Flags and Points, Destroy Enemies and Catch a Gold Box. The weekly chain reward was introduced on the 3rd of March 2016 (Best thing devs ever did).

Premium accounts:

Premium Accounts were first introduced on the 21st of October. From my experience, I haven't got the opportunity to test it. I've mostly only seen buyers with premium. Hoping to test it too soon.

Personal profiles, ratings, and achievements:

On 29 October, Personal profiles, ratings, and achievements system were introduced. It means players can check the garages of other players. It also includes ratings and achievements.

2016:

Private messaging system:

What's private messaging? It means nugs violators will have less chance of getting spotted by chat moderators. Also, friends can talk privately too so they won't be disturbed by nugs like me. One more thing, Chat Moderators have less chance of getting swarmed by players.

New look to the garage:

During the days of Tanki's birthday event, on 3rd June, a new look was given to the garages of all players. The new look stayed forever and it is cool.

Separation of paints and modules:

On 14th of July, the paints were separated from protections and Protection Modules were introduced. After the update, paints now have less value than before (In my opinion) and their price is higher than ever. The important thing is the Module, so wasting crystals on different Paints at early and mid ranks is not recommended.

New Shop (For buyer nugs):

Alright, this is one of the updates whom I hate the most! Why do developers care about these buyers? Let me tell you the definition of buyer: A buyer is a person who cries when he is beaten by a non-buyer pro which leads to buying. Later many noob updates were rolled out for shops like kits, paints and gold box supplies.

Dm tournaments and Gold Box Supply:

The DM tournaments were introduced on 29 of July but were removed from the game for long testing and fixing. The ultimate and legendary nooby Gold Box Supply was introduced on the same day and only buyers can afford it. Nowadays, it doesn't seem like gold is a rare thing in Tanki, It's like an everyday thing to do.

Downloadable Client:

The Tanki downloadable client was released on 9 September What a noob thing devs did. The client can be downloaded from Tanki Online's official website. I use the client mostly because it's fast and lag free. You should try it too.

Alterations and new kits:

The brand new kits and alterations were first introduced on the 22nd of September. Kits now included protection modules along with paints. Alterations for different turrets was introduced too, Developers are continuously working on these. I hope there will be better and cheaper alterations in the future.

Global update of the game balance:

During the mid of October, the game was once again balanced. All m3's are now available at Marshall rank and M3 kits at the Lieutenant General rank. Many Turrets and Hulls were buffed and many were nerfed.

Please note that the following list is what I think.

Turrets:

Smokey= Buffed

Thunder= Buffed

Firebird= Nerfed

Freeze= Nerfed

Isida= Nerfed

Railgun=Nerfed

Hammer= Buffed

Vulcan= Buffed

Striker= Buffed

Ricochet= Buffed

Shaft= Buffed

Hulls:

Hornet= Buffed

Wasp= Nerfed

Hunter= Buffed

Viking= Nerfed

Dictator= Nerfed

Titan= Buffed

Mammonth= Nerfed

Striker Turret:

This great nooby turret was finally introduced (In my opinion, it sucks more than any other turret  :P). I have tested it and it's too weak. Its time of targeting someone should be decreased a bit. Rest is fine.

Happy Valentine's Day!  :wub:   :wub:   :wub:   :wub:   :wub:   :wub:

Approved.

Good article, and a nice summary of several past updates. I haven't been around as far back as 2014, so I found the pre-2016 updates interesting to hear about.

A few edits.

- Removed the colour, it was a bit too vivid for my liking.

- Corrected several Grammar errors.

- Corrected typos.

- Rephrased several sentences which didn't make a great deal of sense.

- Capitalised a lot of words.

Bear in mind that a turret name is always capitalised, and that using Colloquial English words such as "wanna" and "kinda" will bring down the overall feel of your article.

You contradicted yourself several times with different opinions, and remember to be careful about being repetitive.

Edit: I'd also like to add that your definition of a buyer is very opinionated. Remember that Tanki requires money to run the game, hence why buyers are important. Also, most buyers don't buy just because they can't beat regular tankers.

Yea I do make mistakes (actually a lot). Next time I'll keep those mistakes in mind while writing another article.

The reason why I mentioned that is because I saw an m2 smokey and m2 wasp guy at Sergeant-Major (Fully Mu'ed) rank  while I have m1 smokey and m1 titan so yea, I guess that guy is much stronger than me.

You can achieve similar things without buying. Start an alternate account, then only log on to complete the daily missions. Buy an M1 kit during a sale, then enter in lots of Newspaper contests and win prizes. Sooner or later, you'll have a very similar account (and very good equipment) without buying.

Newspaper contests? I didn't know about that... Anyways I don't have the time right now so maybe later sometime.

Well thats debatable.

Of course, there are the few buyers who simply want life in Tanki to be a cruise. Most tend to not be like that.
