Tanki Online is missing a crucial feature. That is a map editor for each and every player. Each player can create and customize only one map in an infinite amount of times.

 

I find it boring to always have the same maps in Tanki Online since I started playing this game. Maps don't work the way I want them to work for me, so my suggestion is for the Tanki Online developers to come up with a suggestion for players to create their own map by using a map builder.

 

I have seen quite a few computer games where you have a map editor/builder to create your own personal maps with your own custom settings.

 

Presets are annoying, so I want to be able to create my own custom map to play with other players on Tanki Online.

 

What I am talking about is to create a map from scratch, including the ability to add supply drop and gold box drop zones. Players can go behind the scenes and create their cool professional maps with their personal touch just like the developers does when creating maps.

 

Once players create their map, they can create, edit or delete them completely. Maps are visible to all Tanki Online servers and players can enter them and play with you.

 

The ability for players on creating their own custom maps will make Tanki Online more fun to play because players will not stick to the regular standard maps. Instead, they can build their maps to suit their gameplay and turrets/hulls they use.

 

The image below shows an example of a map that Tanki Online players can create to play with other players around the world, just like in regular maps.

 

 

The map builder must also be an easy, user friendly interface for players to understand and get proper skills and ability on creating their custom maps.

 

Please ask developers to make my suggestion heard and consider them to add this as a huge update to Tanki Online.

The idea is good, but I can guarantee you that this won't happen. Developers already released their map making tool into the public. You can find the download links here, as well as instructions on how to use it here, although you can't actually get other players to use the maps you make - only test it yourself. But the problem is that the tool is really not user-friendly, glitchy and hard to use, so it's definitely not something developers would want to put into the game. More importantly, not enough players are interested in making their own maps, so it would be pointless to create a whole new complex system for making maps within the game only to have a handful of players actually use it.

 

There are already over 70 maps in the game and a lot of them appear on the servers every day. I'm not sure how you manage to find it boring.

In general, I do not find Tanki Online boring. It is the best tank game on the Internet. The only thing that I find boring is that players always plays on the same 70 maps. There is no change.

I'm telling you, this is a LOT more than what most MMOs have. The map variety in Tanki is huge.

Well, most players are happy with the current list of maps, so developers don't want to waste time making new maps and use their effort on more necessary items instead.
